Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, invites applications from Indian Nationals to join the following position sanctioned under an ICMR-funded project.
Post : Project Research Scientist-I (Non-medical)
Project Title : “Identification of the kinase and its inhibitor(s) that potentiates irinotecan-induced phosphorylation
of the proto-oncogene EVI1 in colon cancer cells”
Project Investigator : Dr. S. Chakraborty
Number of vacancies : One
Fellowship : Rs.56,000/- + @20% HRA per month
Essential Qualification : First-class Master’s degree or integrated master's degrees in Life Sciences/Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Molecular Biology/Genetics/Zoology from a recognized University. OR First-class engineering graduate degree of four years in Biotechnology from a recognized University or NIT/IIT.
Desirable Qualification : A minimum of 4 years of laboratory research experience in solid tumor biology/leukemia biology/medicinal chemistry, with at least one first or second author paper published in a reputable journal in the specified subject area, is required.
Duration : Six months. Maybe it will be extended with the project's extension.
Age Limit : 35 years as of 07.10.2025. Age relaxation will be provided per the rules of the GOI.
