Madras University is the mother of almost all the old Universities of south India. The University area of jurisdiction has been confined to three districts of Tamil Nadu in recent years. This is consequent to establishment of various universities in the State and demarcation of the University territories. This University has been growing from strength to strength while widening its teaching and research activities.

Applications are invited for the post of Project Scientist to work in the CMRG funded project entitled “Exploration of microalgal compounds for antidiabetic activity and its nanoformulation for functional food development” as per the requirements below

Post : Project Scientist - 01 Post (Temporary)

Required Educational Qualifications : M.Sc., Botany/Microbiology/Biotechnology with/without NET /GATE Qualification.

Duration of the Project : Three years

Emoluments : Rs. 25,000/- per month (Consolidated pay)

Candidates secured first class in their post graduate degree with research experience in the field of Algology/phyconanotechnology will be given preference. Selected candidate is eligible to register for Ph.D. degree at the University of Madras.
