Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research (JNCASR), an autonomous research institution under the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India and a Deemed to be University, invites applications from well-qualified candidates for engagement as Project Manager at New Chemistry Unit, purely on contract basis for a period of one year from the date of engagement which may be reviewed at the end of one year, as per functional requirement.

Essential Qualification : Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry
Experience : Candidate should have at least 15 years of experience with scientific activities and services in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations. Candidate having experience in laboratory teaching for Integrated PhD / Post-graduate students in a reputed academic or research institution will be preferred. Candidates with prior experience in managing academic programme activities, including admissions, course and timetable coordination, preparation of instructional materials, overseeing examinations, and providing student support services such as career guidance and mentoring are highly encouraged to apply.
Job Description : The candidate is required to conduct the laboratory courses for the Integrated PhD / Post-graduate degree programmes in the New Chemistry Unit of the Centre. In addition, to coordinate the student related academic activities of the Unit.
Period of Engagement : The assignment will be purely on contract basis. The initial engagement would be for a period of one year, extendable on requirement and performance review, up to five years.
Age Limit : Preferably between 45 - 50 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application
Remuneration : Rs. 1,25,000/- p.m. (Consolidated)
Selection Procedure : Candidate meeting the eligibility criteria shall be offered the position. A Committee will be set up for the purpose.
Working facilities to be provided : Only basic facilities/infrastructure will be provided to the candidate. No Transport or Telephone/Internet facility at residence, stenographic/clerical support, etc.., shall be provided.
Other entitlements
Leave : Paid leave of absence will be allowed as per norms of the Centre for each completed month of service. Accumulation of leave beyond a calendar year is not allowed.
2. Allowances : No TA / DA / accommodation / HRA, or any such allowances will be provided.
Accident, Injury, etc.., during the period of engagement : The Centre shall not be responsible for any loss, accident, damage, injury suffered by the candidate whatsoever arising in or out of the execution of his/her work, including travel.
