Opportunity for M.Pharm, MSc in the ICMR funded project at PGIMER

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963.

Post : Junior Research Fellow - 01 post

Applications are invited on plain paper for the post of Junior Research Fellow in the ICMR funded project under Dr. Ashish Kumar Kakkar, Assistant Professor, Dept, of Pharmacology as per details given below.

Essential Qualifications : Master’s degree in pharmacology/ Life Sciences with any specialization from a recognized university.


Desirable : Experience in molecular biology techniques is mandatory. Those with hands on experience in preclinical research, immunohistochemistry, HPLC etc. will be preferred. Preference will be given to NET/GATE/GPAT or equivalent exam qualified candidates.

Upper age limit : As per GOI rules.


Remuneration. : As per ICMR rules

The engagement in the projects is purely on temporary basis maximum for the period of duration of the project. However, appointment will initially be offered for a period of one year to be and will be extended on yearly basis depending upon satisfactory performance and co-terminus with the project. Please note that it is not a PGIMER/ICMR, N. Delhi appointment and will not confer any right on the incumbent to any claim implicit or explicit on any position.
