The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. The institute started in 1962 and Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru inaugurated the hospital now named “Nehru Hospital” on 7th July 1963. The Institute was originally under the Government of undivided Punjab.

Post : Senior Research Fellow

Applications are invited for the following temporary/ad-hoc post under a Department of Health Research (DHR) and Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project entitled "Studies for Diagnosis, Research and therapy of Primary Immune Deficiency Diseases (PIDS) at PGIMER, Chandigarh", under Dr. Surjit Singh, Principal Investigator, Professor and Head, Department of Pediatrics.

Qualifications
Post Graduate degree in Basic Sciences with NET qualification (M.Sc. in Life Sciences/Biotechnology) or Graduate Degree in Professional Course with NET qualification or Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course with 2 years of experience.

Age (as on 31.09.2019) : 32 years

Remuneration : 21,600/- per month*

*Stands to be revised as per ICMR rules.

Interested candidates fulfilling the above conditions are required to submit their applications with complete bio-data and photograph along with photocopies of certificates/testimonials by 5th October, 2019 (1500HRS) in Room No. 4117, 4A, Advanced Pediatrics Centre and to appear for personal interview along with original certificates on 07th October, 2019 (1530HRS) in Committee room, 3-A, Dept, of Pediatrics, Advanced Pediatrics Centre, PGIMER, Chandigarh. No Interview letters will be sent and No TA/DA will be paid.
