Job Description
Ensuring successful operation of innovation activity across GDD India in close partnership with GDD India Leadership Team and the GDD India Innovation Strategy team. Performs variety of operational and project related tasks to ensure the successful management, maintenance, development and delivery of innovation projects. . Supports the process of evaluating innovative outcomes, liaising with external vendors, and supporting improvements in delivery, usage of technology, etc. based on feedback and evaluation tools.
• Lead assessment of healthcare innovation landscape, appropriately connecting with internal and external stakeholders
• Prepare detailed analysis of innovation opportunities relevant to Novartis/GDD and get buy in from GDD management
• Independently drive selected innovation projects
• Contribute to operational objectives/activities at site/country levels related to innovation priori-ties
• Coordinate appropriate innovation forums/workstreams to convene, set agendas, drive out-comes as required
• Support the process of evaluation of innovative outcomes
• Ensures documentation for innovation opportunities is well monitored and maintained and out of date materials amended or retired as needed, working with SMEs and other GDD members as required.
• Innovation solutions (new and mature and complex) are effectively implemented / delivered and follow-up activities completed on time and as agreed with GDD Innovation Strategy team.
• Delivery of innovation solutions happens without issue (local and virtual) e.g. documentation prepared, technology checked, SME briefed, key stakeholders provided with accurate implementation instructions.
• Timeliness and quality of deliverables according to established directives.
• Feedback on quality of implementation of innovation solutions evaluated as “good”.
Candidate Profile
Bachelors/Master’s degree in scientific/technology discipline. 0-2 years’ experience with Innovation, Product Design, Enterpreneurship, Vendor Management. Past experience in incubator management and Excellence in English, written and spoken, is required

• Ability to update innovation strategy and tactics based on evaluation feedback
• Good technology skills and strong ability to learn new tools

• Ability to prioritise, juggle competing needs and work under pressure
• Working experience in a global team desirable / cross-cultural working experience
• Advanced computer skills proficiency in MS Office. Innovation techniques, including Design and Systems Thinking, experience desirable
• Understanding of drug development
