Post : Project Associate-I in Molecular Biology
The appointment will be a fixed-term position initially for one (1) year and renewable annually subject to the outcome of a performance assessment. The position comes with consolidated pay based on qualification and experience, subject to institutional guidelines.
Essential Qualification & experience required :
• Master's in any branch of Biological Science.
• One (1) year experience in molecular biology lab.
Skills required :
• Basic molecular biology techniques: molecular cloning, PCR.
• Drosophila genetics.
• Excellent communication (written and oral) skill
• Good organization skills
Job / Project description :
Molecular cloning of DNA constructs for CRISPR based genomic manipulations, and Drosophila Genetics
We are hiring a project associate who will generate DNA constructs for genomic manipulations in Drosophila melanogaster. Based on the person’s interest and acumen, there is a possibility to be involved in fluorescence imaging and molecular screening. In addition, the candidate is expected to get involved in fly husbandry related works. Persons with previous experience in the above kinds of experiments are preferred.
Number of positions : 1
Minimum % of marks : 60%
Age limit : 40 years as on 01.01.2026. (subject to relaxation as per GoI norms)
Consolidated salary : Salary will commensurate with experience and qualification.
