BRIC-Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from Indian Nationals for the appointment of the following position.
Post : Project Associate-I (01 position)
PI : Dr. Debabrata Biswas
Project Title : ANRF funded project “Multiomics driven insights targeting Host Immunity to heal DFU using therapeutic principles from seaweeds of Odisha coast”
Fellowship : Rs. 37,000/- + HRA (with National Eligibility test qualification including CSIR-UGC NET/GATE) OR Rs. 30,000/- + HRA (without any National Eligibility test qualification)
Essential Qualification : Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc / B.Pharm or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine or from a recognized University or equivalent.
Candidates with knowledge in basic Molecular Biology and hands-on experience in patient tissue sample collection & processing, and primary cell culture will be preferred.
Age Limit : 30 years, as on 27.10.2025. Age relaxation will be given to the candidates as per Govt. of India rules.

Candidates should bring relevant original certificates for verification of their eligibility and experience. Selected candidate will not have any right to claim explicitly or implicitly for any post in the Institute of Life Sciences. The appointment will be for 1 year, extendable upto 2.5 years depending on performance of the candidate. All positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview.
