Translational Health Science and Technology Institute (THSTI) is an autonomous Institute of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India. The institute is an integral part of the interdisciplinary NCR Biotech Science Cluster located at Faridabad, and is designed as a dynamic, interactive organization with the mission to conduct innovative translational research and to develop research collaborations across disciplines and professions to translate concepts into tangible products to improve human health.

Max Monthly consolidated emoluments : Upto Rs. 1,92,000/-
Age Limit : 55 years
Minimum Qualifications & Experience : MD or equivalent OR Ph.D in Life Sciences/ Chemical Sciences /Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Engineering or relevant branch from a recognized University with 7 years of relevant research experience as mentioned in para (c) below.
Max Monthly consolidated emoluments : Upto Rs. 1,50,000/-
Age Limit : 55 years
Minimum Qualifications & Experience : MD or equivalent OR Ph.D in Life Sciences/ Chemical Sciences / Pharmaceutical Sciences/ Engineering or relevant branch from a recognized University with 5 years of relevant research experience as mentioned in para (c) below.
Relevant experience with respect to domain area:
Multidisciplinary Clinical and Translational Research (MCTR)
(i) Synthetic nucleic acid ligands development, chemosensor development, downstream applications for diagnostics, point-of-care diagnostic prototype development, serodiagnostic platforms for emerging microbes of national priority, discovering diagnostic biomarker using phase display library. OR (ii) Experience in human immunology, response to vaccines, T- and B-cell activation assays and characterization and estimation of T and B cell memory responses.
Non-Communicable Disease (NCD)
(i) Experience of data analysis, operation, troubleshooting of LCMS along with sample preparation & processing for metabolomics and lipidomics study is must. OR (ii) Experience in cell biology and molecular biology techniques with demonstrated experience of establishing cell based in vitro assays for screening of small molecules/plant extracts is must.
Knowledge of biobank relevant international standards, ethical regulations, guidelines and best practices Experience of assistance in management of administrative and operational processes for the development of biobank Experience of working on a comprehensive quality management system for sample and data management in a biobank
Basic training in cell and molecular biology techniques with experience of establishing cell lines and in-vitro assays
* Experience with common data science toolkits, such as R: tidyverse, Python: NumPy, Scikit-learn, keras, tensorflow etc. to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets.
* Excellence in at least one of these is highly desirable
* Experience in data visualization using: Processing, Matplotlib, D3, ggplot, etc.
Knowledge of a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision tree learning, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
* Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests and proper usage, etc.) and experience with applications.
Experience with distributed data/computing tools: Map/Reduce, Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Gurobi, MySQL, etc.
Strong problem solving skills
