Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an Institution of National Importance established through an Act of Indian Parliament by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology.
Post : Project Associate-II (Chemistry)
Title of Project : Development of a circular RNA vaccine formulation co-targeting the Hepatitis A and Hepatitis E viruses.

Emoluments : Rs. 35,000/- + 27% HRA per month
Principal Investigator : Dr. Ambadas B. Rode, Associate Professor
Tenure Duration : Initially for a period up to 22.10.2026 and can be extended depending on requirement and performance till the validity of the project duration.
Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Medicinal Chemistry or equivalent with National Level JRF eligibility test such as NET, GATE, etc. qualified. Minimum 2 years of experience in Research and Development in Industrial or academic institutions. The student having prior expertise in organic synthesis, purification, and characterization will be preferred.
Desirable Qualifications : Strong practical and theoretical knowledge in organic synthesis, separation/purification techniques such as distillation, crystallization, extraction, chromatography, etc., experience in the operation of equipment to aid in chemical synthesis, purification and interpretation of spectral data obtained for techniques like NMR, MS, IR, and HPLC etc., knowledge to follow safe lab practices and SOPs. Candidate should be hardworking and a team player with interpersonal skills
