Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati, the sixth member of the IIT fraternity, was established in 1994. The academic programme of IIT Guwahati commenced in 1995. At present the Institute has eleven departments, seven inter-disciplinary academic centres and five schools covering all the major engineering , science, healthcare, management and humanities disciplines, offering B.Tech., B.Des., BSc(Hons), M.Tech., M.Des., M.Sc., MBA, M.A. and Ph.D. programmes. Qualifications : Masters in Veterinary Sciences specializing in Veterinary Surgery. Registration from National or State Veterinary Council for Veterinary Practice is a must with at least three to five years of rigorous experience in conducting spaying/hysterectomy in canines. An experience of working with agencies involved in ABC campaigns is desirable but not essential. Working knowledge and demonstrable experience of Good Veterinary practice is essential.
