The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine, Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at BRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

BRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual position of following Scientific position in the laboratory of Dr. M INDUMATHI. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Post Doctoral Research Fellow - 1 post
Age limit : 35 years
Essential Qualification : Fresh PhD graduates, in the area of Cell Biology, Molecular Biology or Developmental Biology.
Experience : Expertise in cell culture and molecular biology techniques is mandatory. Preference will be given to those with practical experience in generating and handling Induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSCs) and lineage differentiation process and CRISPR-based gene editing.
Job Description : The candidate will be involved in generating human iPSC lines, differentiating hiPSCs into ocular cell lineages and organoids, various molecular and histological evaluation of eye tissues, scRNA-seq and spatial transcriptomic analysis.

Project Associate Level I or Level II - 2 posts
Age limit : 25 years
Essential Qualification : M.Sc (Life sciences) or M.Sc (Biotech) (3+2 years stream) or B.Tech (Biotech) or B.Pharm graduates (4 years stream) or others with equivalent degrees, with training in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology.
Experience : Practical training in cell culture and basic molecular biology techniques is preferred.
Job Description : The candidate will be involved in generating CRISPR-edited gene- knockout iPSC lines and characterizing them for the effects of loss of function on eye-lineage differentiation potential and diverse cellular functions.

Tenure : Contractual appointment for 11 Eleven months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
