The Institute for Stem Cell Science & Regenerative Medicine (instem.res.in), Bangalore is an autonomous institute under the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. BRIC-inStem’s mandate is to establish collaborative research programs in the field of stem cell biology, regeneration, and repair in development and disease, with an emphasis on translation. To develop strengths in focused areas, research at BRIC-inStem is driven through collaborative interdisciplinary teams, addressing questions that are beyond the scope of a single laboratory.

Post : Bridging Post Doc

BRIC-inStem invites applications (online) from eligible candidates for contractual position of following Scientific positions. We are looking for dedicated professionals who are result-oriented, can assimilate, analyze and communicate data effectively and are excellent team players capable of working in a fast- paced, multi-disciplinary environment.

Remuneration : Rs. 58,000/m+ HRA (Defence done) Or Rs. 42,000/m+ HRA (Thesis submitted)

Qualification & Experience : Essential Qualification
• Candidates must have M.Sc. in Biochemistry, clinical Biochemistry, biotechnology/Life Sciences from a recognized university.
• Candidate must have submitted the PhD thesis.
• Candidates must have qualified national level exam-NET-JRF.
• Candidates must have experience in using Drosophila as a model system specifically expertise in Drosophila haematopoiesis and wasp culturing.
• Candidates must have experience in Bulk RNA sequencing analysis.
• Candidates must have experience in executing insitu protocols such as FISH, with experience in molecular biology approaches.
• Candidate must have experience in targeted isotope labelling mass spectrometry.
• Candidate must have confocal experience in confocal microscopy and FACS.

Job Description : The candidate is required to work on the project “Metabolic regulation of hematopoiesis in Drosophila larvae”. Candidates is expected to have substantial experience in handling Drosophila Genetics. Preference will be given to those with hands-on experience in confocal microscopy, flow cytometry (FACS), and liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry (LC-MS).

Tenure : Contractual appointment for 11 Eleven months, renewable based on requirement and review of progress and requirement of the Grant.
