The Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) is a tertiary care, super-specialty hospital located in Vasant Kunj, New Delhi, India. It was established in 2009 by the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi as an autonomous institute under the Societies Registration Act, 1860. The ILBS is a mono-superspeciality hospital, which means that it provides primarily liver and biliary care. Post : Senior Project Associate [One Post]

Project title : "Effectiveness of high dose albumin therapy in improving liver transplant-free survival in patients with acute decompensation of cirrhosis- A prospective cohort study".
Project Duration : 2 Years; Appointment under the project shall be on contract basis for the period of 12 months initially and may be extendable based on satisfactory performance, availability of funds and/or project duration.

Age Limit : 40 Years
Eligibility Essential:
(A) Master's Degree in Life Sciences or Bachelor's Degree in Medicine;
AND
(B) Four years' experience in research and development in academic institutions or science and technology organizations.
OR
Doctorate Degree in Science/Technology/Pharmacy/MD/MS from a recognized university.
Note : Candidate should have experience in Bioinformatics, Data Analysis, Data Auditing and lab techniques comprising of but not limited to ELISA, Cell Culture, NGS, IHC, PCR, RT-PCR etc.

Monthly Salary / Remuneration : INR 42,000/- + 30% HRA
Key Responsibilities
1. Bioinformatics and Data Analysis :
o Perform statistical and computational analysis of biological datasets. o Utilize bioinformatics tools and pipelines for NGS (Next-Generation Sequencing) data analysis.
o Develop and validate predictive models for biological research. o Collaborate with research teams to interpret and visualize data.
2. Data Auditing and Management:
o Ensure compliance with data integrity standards. o Perform data quality checks, documentation, and reporting. o Maintain and update datasets in line with project requirements.
3. Laboratory Techniques :
o Conduct molecular biology experiments including PCR, RT-PCR, and ELISA. o Perform immunohistochemistry (IHC) and cell culture techniques. o Execute assays for high-throughput sequencing projects. o Maintain lab equipment and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
4. Research Support :
o Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to design and execute experiments. o Contribute to the preparation of research papers, reports, and presentations. o Train and mentor junior team members in lab and computational techniques.
5. Skills and Competencies :
o Proficient in bioinformatics software and programming languages (e.g., R, Python). o Strong understanding of molecular biology principles and laboratory practices. o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. o Ability to handle and process large datasets.
o Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining data accuracy and reproducibility.
