National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences is a multidisciplinary Institute for patient care and academic pursuit in the frontier area of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences. The Lunatic Asylum which came into being in the latter part of the 19th Century was renamed as Mental Hospital in 1925 by the erstwhile Government of Mysore. This hospital and All India Institute of Mental Health established in 1954 by Government of India were amalgamated on 27th December 1974, and thus was formed the autonomous National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS).

NIMHANS Invites applications for the following vacant posts, in the prescribed form from Indian Nationals.

Research Associate (Radiochemistry - Academic)

Tenure : period of 3 years only.

Educational Qualification :
a) Post Graduate Degree in M.Sc in Chemistry / M.Sc in Pharmaceutical Sciences / M.Sc in Nuclear Medicine / M.Pharma from a recognized University / Institution
b) Ph.D in relevant field from a recognized University / Institution

Upper Age limit : 40 years

Pay Matrix : Level 11: Rs. 67,700 – 2,08,700/-.

Initial Pay in the Pay Matrix : Rs. 67,700/-

Technician (Nuclear Medicine – Non Academic)

Tenure : period of 3 years only.

Educational Qualification :
B.Sc in Nuclear Medicine Technology approved by AERB from a recognized University / Institution. OR B.Sc Degree in Physics / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Microbiology / Life Sciences with PG diploma (two years course) in Medical Radiation and Isotope Technology (DMRIT) approved by AERB from a recognized University / Institution.

Desirable: One year experience in Nuclear Medicine and RSO certification.

Upper Age limit : 30 years

Pay Matrix : Level 6: Rs. 35,400 – 1,12,400/-.

Initial Pay in the Pay Matrix : Rs. 35,400/-

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Research Associate Posts Rs. 2360/- (Rs. 1180/- in case of SC / ST candidates)
2. Technician Posts Rs. 1180/- (Rs. 885/- in case of SC / ST candidates)
b) The application in prescribed form should be submitted along with the original details of application processing fee for having remitted prescribed application fee as stated above, so as to reach The Director, NIMHANS, P.B.No.2900, Hosur Road, Bengaluru – 560 029, India, on or before 12.11.2018.
2. Separate applications should be sent for each post.
3. In service candidates should forward the application through their employers or produce “No Objection Certificate” along with the application, failing which the candidate’s application will not be considered under the category of in service.
4. Persons with Disability (PwD) (Disability – 40% or more) – Certificate issued by Medical Board / Competent Authority to be enclosed.
5. Candidates should enclose attested copies of certificates of Age Proof, Academic Qualifications, Marks Sheet of all the years / semesters, Experience, etc.,
6. No applications shall be entertained if it is incomplete / received after the last date prescribed/not forwarded through proper channel. The Institute will not take responsibility for postal delay if any.
7. Candidates belonging to reserved category such as SC, ST & OBC may also apply for the vacancies notified against UR without any relaxation in respect of Age as per O.M No. 36011/1/98-Estt.(Res) dated 01.07.1998
8. Age relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC/ PWD/ EX-Serviceman candidates and Government Servants in service as per G.O.I rules. The Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/EX-Serviceman have to submit relevant latest certificate/s in the prescribed form issued by the Competent Authority (Candidates applying under OBC Category should produce OBC Certificate in Annexure – A format enclosed).
9. Skill Test & Written Test will be conducted for the posts whose grade pay is less than Rs.5,400/- as per Government of India, DoPT OM No. 39020/01/2013-Estt(B)-Part dated 29.12.2015.
10. In case if it is felt necessary, the Institute may not fill up any or all of the above posts and if so, no separate intimation will be given to the candidates.
