To trace the history of Jadavpur University is to trace a part of India’s freedom movement, at least from the Swadeshi Movement onwards. It was 1905 -1906. Bengal stood divided. The times were feverish.The hegemony of the British establishment had to be challenged. Education had to play a new role in this changed scenario. It had to become a new form of resistance through which the emergent nationalist spirit could be propagated. With this in mind the National Council of Education (NCE) came into being.

A walk in interview will be held in the seminar hall of the Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, J.U. on 08th December, 2016 (Thursday) at 12.00 P.M. for the following position to carry on research work entitled “Chemical profiling of Joha and black rice of NER for Nutritional, Nutraceutical Parameters and Aromatic Compounds” funded by Department of Biotechnology’s Twin program of the North East, under the supervision of Dr. Subhash Ch. Mandal, P.I. of the project, Division of Pharmacognosy , Department of Pharmaceutical Technology, Jadavpur University, Kolkata -700032.
Qualifications:
M. Pharm in Pharmaceutical Technology with Pharmacognosy / Pharmacology / Pharmaceutical Chemistry Specialization with lsl Class (Research experience in herbal drugs & NET/ GATE Desirable
Emolument: Rs. 25,000/- per month with 30% H.R.A for the Ist & 2nd year and Rs. 30,000/- per month with 30% HRA for 3rd year
Age: 32 years (Relaxable up to 5 years in case of SC/ST/OBC/Women/PH candidates) .
Tenure: For three years only
