Pharma Fellowship in Central Ayurveda Research Institute

Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) formerly known as National Research Institute of Ayurvedic Drug Development and Central Research Institute of Ayurveda which was earlier established as Regional Research Institute (Ay.) on 1971 at Jagannath Dutta Lane, Kolkata and then the Institute was shifted to Bidhannagar, Kolkata on 1997 in its own building. Govt. of West Bengal had provided 3 acres land in the most posh area of Kolkata (SEZ) for the present campus.

This Institute intends to engage services of the following post on contractual and co-terminus basis for collaborative IMR project "Digitized Retrieval Application for Versatile Yardstick of Ayush-Substance (DRAVYA)" for a period of initially for 6 months which is likely to be extended till the tenure of the project.

Senior Research Fellow (Phannaeugnosy/Botany) - 01 Post
Age : Not exceeding 35 years as on date of Walk-in Interview.
Essential: Post-graduate Degree (M.Pharm) in Pharmacognosy / MS Natural Products / M.Pharm (Ay) OR M.Sc Botany/ Medicinal Plants 'Biotechnology/ Life Science from a recognized University/ Institution with two years research experience.
Desirable : a. Sound knowledge to develop an exhaustive, re-usable database of Ayush Drugs/Ingredients by dynamically consolidating information from "legacy sources" and inter-linkages with standard “online databases” from India and other international agencies
b.Skills of drafting, editing scientific documents/ articles/ technical reports etc.
c. Publications ill peer reviewed journals.
Monthly remuneration : Rs. 42,000/- + HRA

The required qualifications and other details are as under :-

Research Associate-I- 03 post
Duration : 3 years
Age limit : Not exceeding 40 years at the date of interview
First class degree in MD/ M.V.Sc/M.Pharm in Pharmacology/ M Pharma (Ay.)/ M.Sc. (Medicinal Plants with specialization in Pharmacology from a recognized University /Institution With Ph.D with al least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed Journal
Desirable qualification :
i. Experience in Genotoxicity In vitro mammalian cell culture testing and conduct all (he preclinical animal toxicity testing as per OECD guidelines.
ii. Experience in Safety Pharmacology studies as per ICH guidelines and preclinical animal toxicity testing as per OECD guidelines.
iii: Experience in toxicology and histopathology, with expertise in conducting prcclinical animal toxicity studies. Over all coordination and conduct all project activity report analysis and writing with research team.
Monthly remuneration : Fixed, Rs. 58,000/- HRA as admissible

Qualification : First class degree in MD/ M.V.Sc (Pharmacology) / M.Pharm (Pharmacology)/ M. Pharma (Ay. )/M. Sc. (Medicinal Plants with specialization in Pharmacology) from a recognized University /Institution, (or)
Second class Post graduate degree in Pharmacology and' or Toxicology, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD,
Experience: Minimum three years’ experience in
Pharmacological screening and Toxicological testing.
Desirable qualification :

Senior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy/ Phytochemistry)

Age limit : Not exceeding 35 years at the date of interview
Essential Qualifications : M.Pharmacy (Pharmacognosy) / M.Pharmacy (Pharmacognosy and Phytochemistry) / M.S. Natural products. Desirable: Preference will be given to candidates having experience in In-Silico studies, HPLC/HPTLC and microscopic studies. (1) Handling of instruments like HPTLC/ HPLC/LC-MS/NMR etc.
(2) Article writing skills with proof of publications in SCI Indexing Journals of good impact factor.
Monthly remuneration : Rs.42,000/- 30% HRA

Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria should apply in the prescribed proforma along with jetf-attcsted copy of certificates in support of age and qualification and two passport size recent photographs. The candidates are required to appear for written test/interview at the above-mentioned address. The candidates who are attending for the interview will be required to carry their original testimonials for verification. NOTE :
1. The engagement would be purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the projects and no claim for continuance of regular appointment will be entertained.
2. The appointment of the candidate in as per the tenure of the projcct. The engagement shall terminate upon the conclusion of the project
3. The eligibility of candidates in respect of age will be determined at the dale of interview,
4. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India rules.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
6. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate” in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
