ILS conducting Interview for Research Scientist - Candidates with PG in Pharma, Life sciences, Biotechnology can apply

Institute of Life Sciences (ILS), Bhubaneswar, an autonomous institute of the Department ofBiotechnology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India invites applications from eligibleIndian Nationals for the following positions under the ICMR project titled “Exploring the pathobiology of brain aging in Indian population: developing a public domain reference atlas and spatial transcriptome facility for aging research”.

Post : Project Research Scientist - I (Non-Medical)

Upper age limit : 35 years
Remuneration : 56,000/- per month + 20% HRA

Eligibility criteria Essential qualifications
1. First Class Post Graduate Degree including the integrated PG degrees in Life sciences, Biotechnology, Pharmaco-informatics, bioinformatics, computational biology and allied sciences.
2. Second Class Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD
3. For Engineering/IT/CS – First Class Graduate Degree of Four Years Desirable qualifications 3-4 years’ experience after master’s degree in NGS data analysis (RNAseq, Single cell data, Exome / whole genome) using HPC. Expertise in coding and knowledge of R is must.

Selection will be carried out through an interview process in hybrid mode.

N.B.: The list of shortlisted candidates' names and the date of the interview will be published on the ILS website. All the positions are purely temporary and coterminous with the project. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview. The decision of the Director regarding the selection of candidates will be final and no further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
