The Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Chennai, an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India proposes to engage the services of personnel on contractual basis, as per the details given below. The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis, initially for a period of one year. The selection will be made based on the Personal Interview and the date of interview will be intimated later through e-mail to eligible candidates and through the Council website. If necessary, a written test will be held on the same day, to shortlist the candidates.
The decision of the Competent Authority will be final in the selection process. The number of posts may vary according to need and place of posting.
Senior Research Fellow (Publication) – 01 No.
Essential Qualifications and experience: Essential : 1. MSc in Life Science subjects from a recognized University with working experience of at least 2 years’ duration in processing of scientific articles/ research article publications/ online management of Journals. 2. Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Power point and Excel).
3. Good command of English language.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on closing date for receipt of Application. (Age relaxable in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government Rules).
Period of engagement : Initially 1 year; extendable based on performance and coterminous with the project.
Nature of duties : Online/Offline management of journal Communicating in between authority and authors Associate in different phases of articles Article transactions Helping in technical editing and language check of articles Assisting the editorial team
Monthly emoluments : Rs.42,000/- p.m + HRA as admissible (Consolidated)
Place of posting : SCRI, Chennai.
Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacovigilance) – 01 No.
Essential : a) Graduate degree in Siddha Medicine from a University/ Institution recognized under NCISM (erstwhile CCIM). b) Enrolment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine/Siddha as the case may be.
Desirable : a) Preference will be given to those who has previous Research experience i.e. having worked for any research project funded by the Ministry of AYUSH, ICMR, CSIR, DST or equivalent organization.
b) Skills of drafting, editing scientific documents/ articles/ technical reports etc.
c) Publication in peer reviewed journals Working knowledge of computer applications.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years (Age of the candidates will be determined as on the closing date for receipt of Application.
Age is relaxable in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government Rules).
Monthly emoluments : Rs.37,000/- p.m + HRA as admissible (Consolidated)
Place of posting : SCRU, New Delhi.
Junior Research Fellow (Botany) – 01 No.
Essential : Post Graduate Degree in Botany Or Graduate / Post Graduate Degree in Professional Course selected through National Eligibility Tests- CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) and GATE.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years (Age of the candidates will be determined as on the closing date for receipt of Application.
Age is relaxable in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government Rules).
Monthly emoluments : Rs.37,000/- p.m + HRA as admissible (Consolidated)

General Conditions
1. The candidates who fulfill the requirements may apply in the prescribed format as in Annexure along with copies of self-attested supporting documents on or before the closing date of 22.05.2026 (Friday).
2. Incomplete application, application not submitted in prescribed format and application without supporting documents asked for, shall be summarily rejected.
3. Applications are called for Intra Mural Research project & other contractual positions. Hence, the candidates need not submit separate applications for each project.
4. The separate applications shall be submitted for each position, and the Name of position is required to be superscribed on the envelope containing the application.
5. Please do sign in running hand. Unsigned applications will be rejected. The application form duly signed should be sent in an envelope superscribed as “Application for the post of ______________”. by Speed post only to the following address:

6. Age and experience of the candidates will be determined as on the closing date of receipt of Application. Age relaxable in the case of SC/ST/OBC/PwD candidates as per Government Rules issued from time to time.
7. The term of engagement for all positions shall ordinarily be for an initial period not exceeding one year, which is curtailed midway or extended at any time at the discretion of Competent Authority. The subsequent extension will be based on the performance maximum up to 2 / 3 years or on a Co-terminus basis in case of projects.
8. The engagement of above posts will be purely on contractual basis, and it confers No right to claim for continuation or regularization of appointment.
9. The engagement for the positions are in no way linked to the registration for Ph.D. This is absolutely for IMR projects of CCRS.
10. The candidates should bring with them the originals of all the requisite documents/ certificates etc. for verification. Verification of Documents/ Certificates will be done before the Personal Interview also.
11. If necessary, a written test will be held on the same day, to shortlist the candidates.
12. The Competent Authority reserves the right to postpone/cancel the recruitment process at any stage for all/any of the above posts at any time.
13. The number of vacancies for the above positions is liable to vary according to need and place of posting. This is subject to change without any notice.
14. No TA/DA will be admissible for attending the Personal Interview.
15. The candidates should report for the Personal Interview at the stipulated date/time.
16. Interested candidates may, in their own interest, ensure that they fulfill the eligibility conditions. Ineligible candidates will not be allowed to appear for the Personal Interview.
17. Candidates are requested to see the Council's website on a regular basis for any announcement in this regard.
18. Canvassing in any form will be a disqualification.
List of original documents to be submitted on the day of Personal Interview
1) Age proof: 10th /12th Standard certificate – No other documents will be accepted as proof of age.
2) Educational Qualification :
a) Degree certificate issued by Recognized University/ Institution.
b) Copy of Enrolment in the Central/ State Register of Indian Medicine/ Siddha as the case may be.
3) Community Certificate: SC/ST/OBC (Non-creamy layer) certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the prescribed format (only if age relaxation is claimed).
4) Experience Certificate, if available: Certificate indicating clearly the name of the Organization, duration of employment (date, month & year), pay drawn, etc.
5) Candidates applying for the position of Consultant (Admin) should attach the copy of PPO.
