Opportunity for M.Pharm, MTech in the DBT Research Project at Panjab University

Post : Research Associate

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for the post of Research Associate in the DBT Research Project entitled “Biovalorization of Lignin – To develop and evaluate the performance of lignin-derived nanomaterials” under the supervision of Dr. Sandip V. Pawar, Assistant Professor, University Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Panjab University, Chandigarh.

Essential Qualification :
1. PhD or M. Pharm / M.Tech (having 3 years of research/industrial experience with at least one research paper in SCI journal) preferably in Pharmacology / Pharmaceutics / Pharmaceutical Biotechnology) with minimum 55% marks (50% in case of SC/ST/PH)
2. GATE/GPAT (M.Pharm / M.Tech candidates) qualified or any National entrance test exam conducted by any central Govt. department is desirable.
3. Preference will be given to the candidates with industrial/research experience or candidates having work experience in cancer research, drug development, in-vitro mammalian cell culture, in-vivo animal models, molecular Biology techniques (western blot/ELISA/RT-PCR) will be preferred.

Fellowship : Monthly emoluments of the fellowship shall be (47000/pm + 16%HRA), the duration of the fellowship is for the period of one year and can be extended further based on the performance of the candidate

Selection process : Eligible and shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview in the office of Chairperson, UIPS, Panjab University, Chandigarh.
