Essential Qualification & Experience :
Essential
1. First class post graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees (preferably bioinformatics/computational biology/computer science)
OR
2. Second class post graduate degree, including the integrated PG degrees with PhD (preferably bioinformatics / computational biology / computer science)
OR
3. For Engineering/IT/CS – First Class Graduate Degree of Four years

Area of specialization required for the post : Bioinformatics, Computational Biology


Desirable qualification / Job Description :
The project aims to explore the factors contributing to the aggressive nature of postpartum breast cancer in young women by utilizing genomics, transcriptomics (both bulk and spatial), and pathological data. The candidate will work with these datasets, as well as publicly available data, to conduct integrative data analysis and develop statistical models.
These models will be used to predict factors associated with clinical outcomes and identify prognostic markers. The candidate is expected to be familiar with coding (R/Python), basis statistics, next-generation sequence analysis (DNA-seq/RNA-seq) and cancer biology.

Initially, the position will be for a period of one year, with three months’ probation further extendable with necessary review.

2. The Selection process may consist written test / interview. Any change in the recruitment process will be intimated to the candidates in advance. The institute reserves the right not to fill the above posts herein advertised in case suitable candidates are not found. Canvassing in any form shall disqualify the candidate.
