Project name : Evaluation of spatial ecology of Tie2-activated myofibroblastic-CAFs as potential target against aggressive oral cancer

Project Description : This project is focused on evaluating the cellular composition and its spatial arrangements with respect to the Tie2-activated myofibroblastic-CAFs at a single-cell resolution in oral tumors. Multi-dimensional analysis will be performed to identify spatial compositions that can eventually correlate with patient prognosis. Also, we will test novel designs of the small molecule inhibitors against activated Tie2 and evaluate its impact on cancer evolution driven by activated Tie2 in oral TME using cell culture models and mouse models of oral cancer.

Consolidated Remuneration [INR] Per Month : (i) INR 31,000 + 24% HRA to be given who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions. (ii) INR 25,000 + 24% HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.

Essential Qualifications : 1. Post Graduate Degree in Natural Sciences or bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology or medicine from a recognized University or equivalent.
Age limit : 35 years as on last date of application.

Desirable Qualifications : 1. Candidates with proven experience with the single cell and bulk transcriptome data analysis will be preferred.
2. Candidates with prior experience with mammalian cell culture technique is desirable.

Nature of Duty : Person hired will be responsible for day-to-day research activities related to molecular biology and biotechnology work as required for the proposed project. This may also include collection and processing of human tissue samples from collaborating clinical centers.

1. The upper age limit for applying for PA-1 shall be 35 years. The upper age limit is relaxable upto 5 years in case of candidates belonging to scheduled castes/tribes/women and PwD candidates and 3 years of candidates belongs to NCL-OBC candidates
2. This position is contractual, and appointments will be initially for one year, which is extendable depending upon the performance and requirements of the project.
