Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine & Homoeopathy (PCIM&H), is a subordinate office under Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.Development of Pharmacopoeias and Formularies as well as acting as Central Drug Testing cum Appellate Laboratory for Indian systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy are the key fields of activity of PCIM&H. The Commission was initially established as Pharmacopoeia Commission for Indian Medicine (PCIM) on 18th August, 2010 as an autonomous body under Ministry of AYUSH and was registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860 on 31st August, 2010.
PCIM&H is conducting walk in interview on 01/06/2022 for engaging contractual staffs for following posts under the NMPB sponsored projects entitled “Development of National Herbal Garden for Pharmacopoeial Species” and “Establishment of Regional Raw Drug Repository (Gangetic Plain Region) on Contract basis. Those who applied in response to previous advertisement may also attend the interview.
Consultant (Plant Taxonomy) - 01
Age limit : 60 years
Qualifications : Essential : M.Sc. in Botany from recognized University or Institute. Ph.D in the field of Plant Taxonomy from recognized University/ Institute Desirable : 05 years working experience in any research project related to Plant Taxonomy
Monthly remuneration (consolidated) : Rs. 50,000/-
Works to be carried out : To lead the collection tour Identify the plants collected and their parts for crude drug repository
Junior Research Fellow (Pharmacognosy) - 01
Age limit : 28 years
Qualifications : M.Sc in Botany/Pharmacognosy / Medicinal Plants from a recognized university/institution Desirable Skills of drafting, editing of scientific documents/technical reports. Sound knowledge of drug development, pharmacognostical & anatomical techniques, drug standardization, analytical techniques with at least 1 year experience in the field of medicinal plants.
Monthly remuneration (consolidated) : Rs. 31,000 + admissible HRA
Works to be carried out : Cataloguing & documentation. Macro & Microscopic studies of 100 drugs per year.
Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry) - 01
Age limit : 28 years
Qualifications : Essential M.Sc (Chemistry) from a recognized university/institution Desirable Working experience in instruments of organic chemistry (HPLC/HPTLC/GC) and in aflatoxin
Monthly remuneration (consolidated) : Rs. 31,000 + admissible HRA
Works to be carried out : Physicochemical analysis, HPTLC/HPL C/GC profiling, Test for aflatoxin
Junior Research Fellow (Microbiology) - 01
Age limit : 28 years
Qualifications : Essential MSc in / Microbiology / Life Science / Biochemistry / Molecular biology / Biotechnology or equivalent with minimum 55% from a recognized university/institution Desirable Working experience in instruments of microbiology lab
Monthly remuneration (consolidated) : Rs. 31,000 + admissible HRA
Works to be carried out : For Testing microbial load
Project Assistant - 03
Age limit : 35 years
Qualifications : Essential Master s Degree in Life Science from a recognized institution, Knowledge in computer applications, can work on MS-office Desirable Plant Taxonomy Background 40 wpm typing speed in English and good communication skill.
Monthly remuneration (consolidated) : Rs. 18,000/-
Works to be carried out : For helping officers in introducing new plants, their documentation n, maintenance of green house and poly house.
Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria as mentioned above may appear for the Walk-in-Interview in Committee Room of Admin Block of PCIM&H on 01/06/2022 along with duly filled-in prescribed application form, original testimonials and two sets of attested photo copies of the following certificates -
a. Certificate in support of age (high school/matriculate) issued by any recognized Board,
b. Certificate in support of educational qualification & experience Interview will start at about 11 AM.
Note :
1. The engagement will be purely on contractual basis and no claim for continuance or regular
2. The contract initially would be for a maximum period of one year and may be further extended on year to year basis, subject to functional requirements and also subject to appraisal of the performance.
3. All staff will be subject to the guidelines of National Medical Plants Board/guideline of engagement of consultants in the Ministry of AYUSH.
4. The eligibility of candidates will be determined as on the last date of the receipt of application.
5. The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview mostly through online.
6. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
7. The Director, PCIM&H reserves the right to accept or reject the application and postpone or cancel the interview without assigning any reason.
8. Candidates who already submitted application in response to previous advertisement no. 01/2022 extended dt. 10/5/22 may also attend interview.
