Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the ‘Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry’ established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care in the area of health.

All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Bibinagar (Telangana), an Autonomous Institution, established by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India under the Pradhan Mantri Swasthya Suraksha Yojana (PMSSY). JIPMER, Puducherry has been designated its Mentor Institute.

Department : Pharmacology

Professor
No of post : 1 (UR-01)
Scale of Pay : Level 14A (168900 – 220400) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs.1,68,900 /- per month and other allowances as admissible.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 58 years
Essential Qualification :
Medical i. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act.)
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Pharmacology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject; Non-Medical i. Master’s Degree in Medical Pharmacology. ii. A doctorate degree from a recognized University.
Experience:- Medical Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Pharmacology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto. Non-Medical Fourteen years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the doctorate degree.

Additional Professor
No of post : 1 (OBC-01)
Scale of Pay : Level 13A2 (148200 – 211400) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs.1,48,200/-per month and other allowances as admissible.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 58 years
Essential Qualification :

Medical i. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act.)
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Pharmacology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject; Non-Medical i. Master’s Degree in Medical Pharmacology. ii. A doctorate degree from a recognized University.

Experience:-
Medical
Ten years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Pharmacology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Non-Medical
Ten years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the doctorate degree.

Associate Professor
No of post : 1 (UR-01)
Scale of Pay : Level 13A1 (138300 – 209200) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs.1,38,300/- per month and other allowances as admissible.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 50 years
Essential Qualification :

Medical i. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act.)
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Pharmacology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject; Non-Medical i. Master’s Degree in Medical Pharmacology. ii. A doctorate degree from a recognized University.

Experience:-
Medical
Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Pharmacology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Non-Medical
Six years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the doctorate degree.

Assistant Professor
No of post : 4 (UR-01; OBC-01 SC-01; EWSs-01)
Scale of Pay : Level 12 (101500 – 167400) as per 7th CPC with minimum pay Rs.1,01,500/- per month and other allowances as admissible.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 50 years
Essential Qualification :

Medical i. A Medical qualification included in the I or II Schedule or Part II of the third Schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956 (persons possessing qualifications included in part II or third schedule should also fulfill the conditions specified in Section13 (3) of the Act.)
ii. A Postgraduate qualification, e.g. MD in Pharmacology or a recognized qualification equivalent thereto in the respective discipline or subject; Non-Medical i. Master’s Degree in Medical Pharmacology. ii. A doctorate degree from a recognized University.

Experience:-
Medical
Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the qualifying degree of MD in Pharmacology or a qualification recognized equivalent thereto.
Non-Medical
Three years teaching and/or research experience in a recognized institution in Pharmacology after obtaining the doctorate degree.

MODE OF SELECTION
The mode of selection will be Personal Interview. (In case if huge number of applications received for any of the disciplines then a written exam will be conducted for shortlisting the candidates (OR) the Standing Selection Committee may short-list candidates for the interview)

SC/ST : Rs.1,200 + Transaction Charges as applicable
PwD : (Persons with Disability) Exempted from application fees

GENERAL CONDITIONS
1. All the posts carry usual allowances as admissible to Central Government Employees as per Government of India from time to time.
2. Candidates are informed to apply by on-line mode only. (Any other mode of applications will not be accepted/considered)
3. Log on to link in the Home page jipmer.edu.in and navigate to the link “Apply on-line for faculty posts of AIIMS Bibinagar”.
4. Last Date for online submission of application is on or before 12.06.2020 (Friday) till 05.00 PM.
5. Last date for receipt of hard copy of online submitted application along with documents is on or before 24.06.2020 (Wednesday) till 04.30 PM
6. The crucial date for age limit and experience will be the last date of online submission of application i.e. 12.06.2020 (Friday)
7. Applications lacking complete information as required and non-remittance of requisite application fee as well as failure in submission of copies of relevant documents within the specified period will be rejected without any communication.
8. The persons belonging to SC/ST/OBC/ Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) must submit the certificate in the requisite proforma duly issued by the authority concerned.
9. The waitlist/reserve list to be operated only if the selected candidate either does not join thereby causing a replacement vacancy or joins but resigns or dies within six months of joining.
10. While forwarding the application through proper channel, a certificate to the effect that Central Government / State Government / Union Territory or the parent Department/Organizations has “No Objection” to the appointment of officer concerned may also be sent to this Institute along with the application.
11. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the Interview.
