The St. John's Research Institute (SJRI) is a part of the St John's National Academy of Health Sciences, which is run by the CBCI Society for Medical Education. From its inception, St. John's has set before it an ideal of excellence in academic courses as well as service to society as a result of which it has truly become holistic both in its outlook and in its approach to the problems of community health.  In 2000, the Academy decided that its commitment to excellence in research required the setting up of an Institute that was dedicated to the pursuit of research and capacity development in St. John's.

Post : Project Technical Support III - ICMR PORA MED ADHER Project

Brief Description about the Project
The project aims to estimate impact of medical adherence app and manual pill organiser on medication adherence and clinical outcomes in geriatric patients on multiple medications. This will be a community-based study conducted at three sites, KEM, Vadu; AFMC, Pune and SJMC, Bengaluru. The project will evaluation of medication adherence app and pill organiser in elderly population these interventions in a factorial design RCT in three centres in approx. 700 patients.

Preferred Qualifications : Master qualification in health sciences, pharmacy or related subject in public health OR with clinical research experience of at least 2 years.
Age Limit : 35 Years
Project Duration : 6 Months

Required :
Experience : 
• Availability and willingness for working from office and travel on field
• Managing a team of field research assistants
• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams, managing relationships with external partners
Desirable :
• Experience writing for publication in peer- reviewed journals
• Prior experience of coordinating a project
• Experience conducting fieldwork
Preferred Language : English

Location : Bangalore
Salary : Rs. 72,800/- per month

Roles & Responsibilities
1. Coordination with field team for conduct of community-based study
2. Coordination with other sites for the multi-centric RCT.
3. To report to the principal investigator for weekly progress.
4. Communication with IEC and HR and finance team.
5. Development of study tool and assistance in analysis of the project.

Skills :
1. Knowledge of clinical research and ethics especially in the domain of public health and community-based studies.
2. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
3. Willingness to travel to perform job duties.
4. Computer proficiency with high level of familiarity with commonly used packages like MS Word, Excel, Power Point.
5. Fluency in English and Kannada.
