Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru is India’s leading institution (No. 1 University) for advanced education and research in Science and Engineering.
IISc welcomes the Masters/PhD/Postdoctoral researchers of recognised Foreign Institutes/ Universities for short-term visiting program across its departments/centres. The potential student/ researchers can be accepted as visiting fellow under the MoU or otherwise. The visiting fellow/exchange student needs to identify a host supervisor at IISc for the proposed visit, where the duration of visit could be from minimum of 3 months to maximum of 1 year. He/She will receive the monthly fellowship for the entire period on par with the IISc students.
Masters student : Rs. 12,400/- per month
PhD student : Rs. 37,000 to 42,000/- per month
Post doctoral researcher : Rs.60,000/- per month
In addition, the visiting fellows could be provided the campus accommodation on payment basis, based on the availability.
