Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an Institution of National Importance established through an Act of Indian Parliament by the Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India under the auspices of UNESCO. The primary focus of RCB is to provide world class education, training and conduct innovative research at the interface of multiple disciplines to create high quality human resource in disciplinary and interdisciplinary areas of biotechnology.

Title of Project : Lethal Aortopathy syndrome associated with novel FBLN4D203A Mutation among Mappila Children of Malabar, Kerala - seeking novel clinical, molecular genetic and anthropological insights. ICMR/04/4240/SGP-2023
Duration : Initially for period up to one year, extendable till duration of the project 2027, subject to extension of the project.

Essential Qualifications : M.Sc./M. Tech. in Life Sciences or related natural science disciplines from recognized Universities or equivalent, with at least 60% marks.
Essential Requirements : Experience certificate from the PI(s) showing applicant’s skill in molecular biology techniques including gene cloning, PCR analysis and in vitro cell culture. And/or skills of analyzing gene/RNA sequencing data.
Desirable Qualifications : Qualified in any National Level eligibility test such as NET, GATB, GATE etc.

Emoluments : Rs. 28,000/- + 30% HRA per month
