Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) formerly known as National Research Institute of Ayurvedic Drug Development and Central Research Institute of Ayurveda which was earlier established as Regional Research Institute (Ay.) on 1971 at Jagannath Dutta Lane, Kolkata and then the Institute was shifted to Bidhannagar, Kolkata on 1997 in its own building. Govt. of West Bengal had provided 3 acres land in the most posh area of Kolkata (SEZ) for the present campus.

Walk-in-interview for the eligible candidates will be held on purely temporary basis in Ayurgyan/ ABIHR EMR project title: "Preclinical Toxicological Evaluation and Safety Pharmacology of Rajah Pravartini Vati, Phala Ghrita and Drakshavaleha" at Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), 4 CN Block, Bidhannagar, Sector V, Kolkata-700091. The required qualifications and other details are as under:

Research Associate-I (03 posts)
Duration : 3 years
Age : Not exceeding 40 years at the date of interview
Qualification, experience : Post Graduate in Pharmacology/ Toxicology/ M. Pharmacy (Ay.)/ Zoology / Biotechnology / M.Sc. in (Medicinal Plants with specialization in Pharmacology) from a recognized University! Institution and Ph.D with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed Journal.
Desirable qualification : i. Experience in Genotoxicity/ In vitro mammalian cell culture testing and conduct all the preclinical animal toxicity testing as per OECD guidelines.
ii. Experience in Safety Pharmacology studies as per ICH guidelines and preclinical animal toxicity testing as per OECD guidelines.
iii. Experience in toxicology and histopathology, with expertise in conducting preclinical animal toxicity studies. Over all coordination and conduct all project activity report analysis and writing with research team.
Monthly remuneration : Fixed Rs. 58,000/-+ HRA as admissible

Project Research Scientist I (03 posts)
Duration : 3 years
Age : Not exceeding 35 years at the date of interview
Qualification, experience : Post Graduate in Pharmacology/ Toxicology/ M. Pharmacy (Ay.)/ Zoology / Biotechnology / M.Sc. in (Medicinal Plants with specialization in Pharmacology) from a recognized University Institution.
Experience : Minimum two years' experience in Laboratory Animal Experimentation.
Desirable qualification : i. Experience in Genotoxicity/ In vitro mammalian cell culture testing and conduct all the preclinical animal toxicity testing as per OECD guidelines.
ii. Experience in Safety Pharmacology studies as per ICH guidelines and preclinical animal toxicitytesting as per OECD guidelines.
iii. Experience in toxicology and histopathology, with expertise in conducting preclinical animal toxicity studies
Monthly remuneration : Rs.56,000/- month + HRA as admissible

Desirable : The preference will be given to candidate with two years hands experience on animal experimentation.

Desirable : The preference will be given to candidate with higher qualification and one-yearhands on experience on animal experimentation.
Monthly remuneration : Rs.37,000/- + 27% HRA per month

Essential Qualifications : M.Sc. (Chemistry)with 2Years' relevant experience or M.Pharm. (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)from arecognized university/Institute.
Desirable : Preference will be given to candidate shaving experience as per project demand : (1) Handling of instruments like HPTLC/ HPLC/ LC-MS/NMR etc. (2) Article writing skills with proof of publications in SCI Indexing Journals of good impact factor.
Monthly remuneration : Rs. 42,000/- 30% HRA

Senior Research Fellow (Pharmaceutical Chemistry)

Essential Qualifications : M.Pharm (Pharmaceutical Chemistry) or M.Pharm (Pharmaceutics)
Desirable : Preference will be given to candidates having experience as per project demand :
(1) Experience inherbal drug development/dosage forms.
(2) Article writing skills with proof of publications in SCI Indexing Journals of good impact factor.
Monthly remuneration : Rs.42,000/- 30% HRA

Interested candidates fulfilling the above criteria should apply in the prescribed proforma along with self-attested copy of certificates in support of age and qualification and two passport size recent photographs. The candidates are required to appear for written test/interview at the above-mentioned address.

The candidates who are attending for the interview will be required to carry their original testimonials for verification. The interested candidates must reach the venue (Central Ayurveda Research Institute, Kolkata, 4-CN Block, Sector-V, Bidhannagar, Kolkata - 700091) at 10.00 AM for registration and beyond that no candidate will be allowed for written test/interview.

NOTE :
1. The engagement would be purely on contractual basis and co-terminus with the projects and no claim for continuance of regular appointment will be entertained.
2. The appointment of the candidate in as per the tenure of the project. The engagement shall terminate upon the conclusion of the project.
3. The eligibility of candidates in respect of age will be determined at the date of interview.
4. Relaxation of age for SC/ST/OBC candidates as per Govt, of India rules.
5. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the written test/interview.
6. Candidates already working should produce “No Objection Certificate” in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
