National Forensic Sciences University is an Institution of National Importance under Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. It is the one and only university in the world dedicated to the Forensic Sciences. The institution is established by the act of Parliament in October 2020.

 For filling up various positions of Assistant Professors purely on contract basis National Forensic Sciences University, Jaipur campus invites applications from highly qualified, eligible and highly motivated candidates. NFSU fosters an interdisciplinary academic environment and seeks faculty members capable of engaging in collaborative teaching and research across forensic sciences and allied domains, as detailed below:

School of Forensic Science 
Forensic Biology/Biotechnology (01 Post)
A master's degree in Forensic Science/ Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Life Sciences/ Botany/ Zoology/ Microbiology/ Genetics/ Human Genetics/ Molecular Biology/ Forensic Biotechnology/ Forensic Dentistry/ Master’s degree in Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Biotechnology. with 60% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) with Ph.D. in a concerned /relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University. Forensic Chemistry and Toxicology (01 Post)
A master's degree in Forensic Science/ Analytical Chemistry/ Chemistry / Forensic Science / Toxicology/ Pharmaceutical Science/ Medicinal Chemistry/ Pharmacy/ Pharmacology / Master’s degree in Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Chemistry and/or Toxicology, with 60% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) with Ph.D. in a concerned /relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University. Forensic Physics & Ballistics/ Questioned Document and Fingerprint (01 Post) 
A master's degree in Forensic Science/ Physics/ Master's degree in Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Physics and/or Ballistics/ Chemistry/ Criminology and Forensic Science / Materials Science/ Applied Sciences / Master’s degree in Forensic Science with specialization in Fingerprints and Questioned Documents with 60% marks (or equivalent grade on a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) with Ph.D. in a concerned /relevant/allied subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited Foreign University. # Under the term ‘Good Academic Record’ the candidates must have obtained at least 60% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Master’s degree level or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University; and at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at the Bachelor’s degree level or an equivalent degree from an Indian/Foreign University or the term 'Good Academic Record' means "First Bachelor Degree in First Attempt / First Trial." 
## 5% relaxation to candidates belonging to Schedule Caste / Scheduled Tribe / Other Backward Classes (OBC) (Non-Creamy Layer) / Differently abled ((a) Blindness and low vision; (b) Deaf and Hard Of Hearing; (c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid-attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) Multiple disability from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness for the purpose of eligibility for directly recruitment.

Consolidated Remuneration : 
1. Assistant Professor (Regular remuneration): Consolidated fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 90,000/- only. 
2. Assistant Professor (Lower remuneration): Consolidated fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 75,000/- only. 
3. Lecturer: Consolidated fixed monthly remuneration of Rs. 68,000/- only. 


Note :
A. Candidates having Ph.D. degree in relevant discipline with minimum first class or 60 % or equivalent at the preceding degree in relevant discipline from recognized university with good academic record throughout and two publications shall be considered for the post of Assistant Professor (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs 90000/- per month. 
B. In case, qualified & suitable candidate are not found for the post of Assistant Professor in any of the disciplines, the University may appoint Contractual Faculty at Lower Remuneration; either as Assistant Professor (lower remuneration) or Lecturer’s position. 
The details of the same areas under : 
a) Candidates having Master degree with minimum first class or 60% or equivalent in relevant discipline from recognized university with good academic record throughout and qualified UGC NET or equivalent Exam in relevant branch shall be considered for the post of Assistant Professor-Lower Remuneration (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs. 75000/- per month. 
b) In case the NET exam is not conducted by UGC in the particular desired subject, then the candidates having Master degree with minimum first class or 60% or equivalent at master’s level in relevant discipline from recognized university with good academic record throughout shall be considered for the post of Lecturer (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs 68000/- per month. 
c) Candidates having minimum qualifying degree i.e., Master’s Degree with minimum first class or 60% or equivalent at master’s level in relevant discipline from recognized university with good academic record throughout shall be considered for the post of Lecturer (contractual) and will be paid consolidated remuneration of Rs 68000/- per month. The preference shall be given to the candidates, who are pursuing their PhD from any INI or recognized University. 
C. University reserved the right to offer to position to lower remuneration if otherwise found suitable. 
D. In case of an applicant possessing an inter-disciplinary postgraduate degree and Ph.D., the highest degree shall be considered for determining the specialization or discipline of the respective applicant

Important Note
1. It is the responsibility of the candidate to ensure his/her eligibility for the post before appearing for the Interview. 2. Candidate will be only allowed to appear before the interview panel, subject to his/her eligibility. 3. Depending on the number of candidates for the post, interviews may go till late in the day or may require to be conducted on the subsequent day. The candidates are required to make their arrangement accordingly. General Instructions 1. Candidates appearing for the interview may be considered for a lower post if otherwise found suitable. 
2. The Experience and Qualification will be reckoned as per the last date of submission of the Application. 
3. Applicants are advised to submit the documents related to their Change of Name (if applicable) (i.e., Marriage Certificate, Gazette for Name Change, Aadhar Card). 
4. Courses offered by autonomous institutions must be equivalent to the relevant course approved/recognized by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). 
5. Contractual appointment will be for eleven months or until a regular appointment is made, whichever is earlier. 
6. No correspondence will be entertained regarding the conduct or result of the interview, or reasons for not being called for the interview/selection. 
7. If the applicant is pursuing a full-time Ph.D., he/she must furnish a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and prior approval from the Head of the Institution. 
8. The University reserves the right to increase/decrease the number of positions or to fill/not fill any of the advertised positions or specializations. 
9. All qualifications must be obtained from a UGC-recognized University/Deemed University or RCI/BCI/PCI/AICTE-approved autonomous institution or equivalent (wherever applicable). 
10. Wherever grading or any other system than the percentage is followed, the result of the candidate should be converted into a percentage on the basis of the percentage conversion table declared by the concerned university. 

11. Candidates must bring their original certificates/documents (educational qualifications, experience, age proof, etc.) for verification at the time of interview, failing which the candidature his/her candidature stands cancel 
12. Two sets of self-attested photocopies of all supporting documents (degree, mark sheets, experience certificates, etc.) must be submitted to the Recruitment Cell and interview panel at the time of the interview. 
13. The University reserves the right: 
a. To withdraw the advertisement either partly or wholly at any time without assigning any reason to this effect.
b. To fill or not to fill up some or all the posts advertised for any reasons whatsoever. 
c. To increase/decrease the number of posts. 
14. The University will not be responsible for any loss of any communication due to the wrong email id provided by the candidates. 
15. No TA / DA will be paid for attending the interview. 
16. In case of any inadvertent mistake in the process of selection which may be detected at any stage even after the issuance of the appointment letter, the University reserves the right to modify/withdraw/cancel any communication made to the candidates. 
17. The contractual position may be terminated at any time if the candidate is found ineligible or fails to meet the required criteria or in case of any fraudulent act. 
18. In case of any dispute/ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the University in all matters relating to eligibility, acceptance or rejection of applications, mode of selection, the conduct of examination/interview will be final and no query or correspondence will be entertained in this connection from any individual or his/ her agency. 
19. The terms and conditions of appointment shall be communicated in the form of an “Offer of Appointment” to selected candidates. If the candidate does not accept the terms and conditions mentioned in the offer of appointment within the stipulated time, the offer shall be treated as withdrawn
