Government Scientific Positions Open for Pharmacy or Science Candidates under staff selection commission

Online applications are hereby invited, in the prescribed format, from citizens of India for appointment against the notified vacancies for the "Jharkhand Technical / Specialized Qualification-holding Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination-2026 (Regular Vacancy)." Qualification : Have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Medicine from a University recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification OR Have a Master's degree in Medicine or Science or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a University recognized by the Government of India OR Have a Diploma of Associateship of the Institution of Chemists (India) obtained by passing the examination with Drug Analysis and Pharmaceuticals as one of the subjects and who, after obtaining the said degree or diploma, has been recognized for the purpose by the appointing authority and has been authorized to test drugs in a laboratory under the control of (i) a Government Analyst appointed under the Act, or (ii) the Head of any Institution or Testing Laboratory approved for the purpose by the appointing authority Must have at least six months of postgraduate experience. Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications by the Commission's deadline for receiving applications.

The following amendments are made regarding the posts included, the preliminary examination, and the online application dates for the Jharkhand Technical/Specialized Qualification Graduate-Level Combined Competitive Examination-2026 (Regular and Backlog), which was advertised by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission, Ranchi, vide Advertisement Nos. 01/2026 and 02/2026:
• The posts included under the Jharkhand Technical/Specialized Qualification Graduate-Level Combined Competitive Examination-2026 (Regular and Backlog)—namely Assistant Vector-Borne Disease Control Officer, Inspector (Vector-Borne Disease Control Programme), and Junior Scientific Assistant (State Drug Testing Laboratory, Namkum, Ranchi; listed at Serial Nos. 02, 03, and 08 of Clause 3 of the Information Bulletin)—along with the special provisions specified for these posts, are hereby deleted from the advertisement.
• In light of the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission Examination (Graduate Level Technical/Specialized Qualification Posts) Conduct (Amendment) Rules, 2025—notified by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha, Jharkhand, vide Notification No. 5562 dated 19.09.2025—the provision regarding minimum marks for the preliminary examination is incorporated under Clause 19.1 (f) of the Information Bulletins issued for Advertisement Nos. 01/2026 and 02/2026, as follows:
"19.1 (f) The provision regarding minimum marks for the preliminary examination shall be as per the following table :"
Unreserved / Economically Weaker Section : 40 (Forty) percent
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe and Women : 32 (Thirty-two) percent
Extremely Backward Class (Schedule-1) : 34 (Thirty-four) percent
Backward Class (Schedule-2) : 36.5 (Thirty-six point five) percent
Primitive Tribe : 30 (Thirty) percent

4. The dates for online application under Advertisement No. 01/2026 and Advertisement No. 02/2026 are amended as follows:
a) For registration and data entry : From 15.06.2026 to midnight of 14.07.2026.
b) For payment of examination fee and uploading of photograph and signature : Up to midnight of 17.07.2026.
c) For correction of erroneous entries : From 20.07.2026 to midnight of 24.07.2026.
5. The remaining clauses of the information brochures issued under Advertisement No. 01/2026 and Advertisement No. 02/2026 shall remain unchanged.
