Online applications are hereby invited, in the prescribed format, from citizens of India for appointment against the notified vacancies for the "Jharkhand Technical / Specialized Qualification-holding Graduate Level Combined Competitive Examination-2026 (Regular Vacancy)." Candidates may apply provided they fulfill the educational qualifications and adhere to the prescribed age limits as stipulated in the various clauses of the detailed brochure. Qualification : Have a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Science or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Medicine from a University recognized by the Government of India or an equivalent qualification OR Have a Master's degree in Medicine or Science or Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry from a University recognized by the Government of India OR Have a Diploma of Associateship of the Institution of Chemists (India) obtained by passing the examination with Drug Analysis and Pharmaceuticals as one of the subjects and who, after obtaining the said degree or diploma, has been recognized for the purpose by the appointing authority and has been authorized to test drugs in a laboratory under the control of (i) a Government Analyst appointed under the Act, or (ii) the Head of any Institution or Testing Laboratory approved for the purpose by the appointing authority Must have at least six months of postgraduate experience. Candidates must possess the required educational qualifications by the Commission's deadline for receiving applications.
Examination Fee :
The examination fee is Rs. 100/- (One Hundred Rupees).
Exemption in Examination Fee: For candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Scheduled Castes (SC) of Jharkhand State, the examination fee is Rs. 50/- (Fifty Rupees). In accordance with Letter No. 8559, dated 23.10.2019, issued by the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Rajbhasha, Jharkhand, Ranchi, an exemption in the examination fee is admissible for Divyang (differently-abled) candidates of Jharkhand State with a disability of 40% or more. In the event that local residents of Jharkhand State belonging to categories other than Scheduled Tribes/Scheduled Castes pay the examination fee at the concessional rate, their application forms shall be cancelled, and their candidature may be terminated. Application forms submitted without payment of the examination fee will not be accepted and are liable to be cancelled. The examination fee shall be non-refundable.
(b) Advertisement No. 02/2026 has been published against the backlog vacancies reserved for reserved categories, comprising a total of 04 (four) vacancies. Candidates eligible for both Advertisement No. 01/2026 and Advertisement No. 02/2026 may apply simultaneously; an option to this effect will be available while filling out the online application form. In the event of applying for both advertisements, only a single examination fee shall be payable. If a candidate applies against only one advertisement, they shall be required to pay a single examination fee in that instance. A single examination will be conducted for both advertisements.
Age Limit :
For the advertised posts, age shall be calculated based on the date 01.08.2025. For the post of Junior Scientific Assistant at the State Drug Testing Laboratory, Namkum, Ranchi—listed at Serial No. 08 under Paragraph-3 (Details of Vacancies)—the maximum age limit for personnel currently working on a contractual basis at the State Drug Testing Laboratory, Namkum, Ranchi, shall be determined based on the date of their initial contractual appointment.
(a) Minimum Age Limit: 21 years.
(b) Maximum Age Limit:— (As prescribed by Resolution No. 29, dated 04.01.2021, of the Department of Personnel, Administrative Reforms, and Rajbhasha)
(i) Unreserved / EWS : 35 years.
(ii) Extremely Backward Classes (Schedule-I) & Backward Classes (Schedule-II) (Male) : 37 years.
(iii) Female [Unreserved, EWS, Extremely Backward Classes (Schedule-I), & Backward Classes (Schedule-II)] : 38 years.
(iv) Scheduled Tribes / Scheduled Castes (Male & Female) : 40 years.
(c) Candidates with disabilities belonging to all categories shall be granted an additional relaxation of 10 (ten) years in the upper age limit. The disability certificate must be issued in the prescribed format (Appendix-X) by a competent Medical Board constituted by the State Government. In all categories, a claim regarding disability shall be considered valid only if the disability is 40% (forty percent) or more.
(i) Disability certificates issued in a format other than the prescribed one, or by an authority other than the competent authority, shall not be considered valid.
(ii) Disability certificates issued after the last date for the submission of applications shall not be considered valid.
(d) In the event that a disability certificate corresponding to the disability claim declared in the application form is not produced during the verification of certificates by the Commission, the candidature of the applicant shall be cancelled.
(e) Ex-servicemen shall be granted an additional relaxation of five years in the upper age limit. The certificate attesting to the status of an ex-serviceman shall be requisitioned by the Commission at the appropriate time, and its production shall be mandatory. (f) The benefit of age relaxation under the aforementioned clauses "(c)" or "(d)" shall be admissible under only one of these two provisions.
Eligibility
I. Permission to appear in the examination shall be purely provisional. The issuance of an Admit Card for the examination does not certify that the candidate fulfills the prescribed eligibility criteria for selection to the advertised post, as the Commission may verify the certificates related to the candidate's eligibility at any time after the examination. Failure to appear during the scheduled verification program, failure to submit the eligibility-related certificates declared in the application form, or failure to possess such certificates within the stipulated timeframe shall render the candidate ineligible for reservation or other benefits, and their candidature may be cancelled.
II. Before applying for the examination, candidates must ensure, with absolute certainty, that they fulfill all the conditions prescribed in the brochure regarding eligibility—specifically concerning the educational and technical qualifications, minimum/maximum age limits, reservation category, etc.—for the advertised post.
Important Guidelines for Filling Out the Online Application :
(i) Before filling out the application form, candidates must download the advertisement and the prospectus, and enter the required information in the application form strictly in accordance with the terms and conditions outlined in the prospectus.
(a) Before filling out the application, candidates must carefully read the prospectus and ensure that they possess all the certificates required for the application process.
(b) Before filling out the application, candidates should keep ready with them scanned copies of their photograph, full signature, and all necessary certificates.
(c) Candidates must carefully verify all their certificates to ensure that their name, father's name, and other details are recorded correctly therein; otherwise, they should get these details rectified before proceeding to fill out the application form.
(ii) Applicants must enter the spelling of their name exactly as it appears on their Matriculation/10th Grade Certificate or Mark Sheet. There must be no discrepancy between the spelling of the name recorded on the Matriculation/10th Grade Certificate/Mark Sheet and the spelling entered in the application form. In the section pertaining to name-related information within the application, prefixes such as 'Shri', 'Mr.', 'Shreeman', etc., should not be used before the name.
(iii) Applicants must enter the same date of birth (date, month, and year) as indicated in their Matriculation certificate/mark sheet in the appropriate field on their application form.
Completing and Submitting the Online Application Form: Strictly follow the instructions provided for filling out the online application. Keep all relevant documents in front of you and submit the application only after you are fully satisfied with the information provided in the application form.
(i) To complete the application form, first visit the Commission's website jssc.jharkhand.gov.in and click on "Online Application for JTGLCCE-2026." Then register.
(ii) Upon completion of the registration process, you will receive a registration number and password on your mobile phone and email. Note down and keep this registration number and password safe, as they will be required for future logins.
(iii) Once you receive your registration number and password, log in again, enter your details, and upload scanned copies of the required certificates. After clicking Save and Continue on each page of the application, the information on the next page must be filled in. Then, pay the examination fee.
(iv) After paying the examination fee, upload your scanned photograph and full signature. If you are satisfied with the uploaded photograph and signature, submit the application and take a printout. Keep it safe for future reference.
(v) Before submitting the application, please verify that the information provided is correct.

(vi) The original copies of certificates corresponding to the information entered in the online application will be verified during the Certificate Verification Program. The candidate's presence, along with all relevant certificates, is mandatory on this occasion. Failure to comply with this requirement will result in the cancellation of the applicant's candidature. In the event that the requisite certificates are not produced in support of the claims made in the online application, reservation benefits or other concessions will not be granted, and the candidature shall be deemed cancelled.
(vii) In the event that a single candidate submits more than one online application, only the latest application submitted by the candidate shall be considered valid; all previously submitted applications shall be cancelled, and the examination fees paid for such cancelled applications shall be non-refundable.
Procedure for Payment of Examination Fee : To deposit the examination fee, click on "Submit To Proceed Payment." A new page will open; on this page, check the "Terms & Conditions" box (1) and click the "Proceed" button to continue. Subsequently, select "JIGLCCE-2026" under the "Select Payment Category" option, enter your Registration Number, and proceed to pay your examination fee.
Choice of Posts : Candidates may exercise their options for the available posts—in order of preference—based on the minimum educational qualifications stipulated in the Information Brochure.
Examination Pattern : The examination will be conducted by the Commission using either an OMR-based format or a CBT (Computer Based Test) format. If the examination is conducted in multiple shifts/groups, the marks obtained by the candidates will undergo normalization. The merit list of candidates will be prepared based on their normalized scores, and following the publication of the results, candidates will be issued their normalized scores. The method (formulae) for normalization is available for the candidates' reference on the Commission's website : jssc.jharkhand.gov.in.
Examination Pattern and Syllabus : (a) The examination will be conducted in two stages: Preliminary Examination and Main Examination.
Modification of Entries in the Application : From 05.07.2026 up to midnight on 10.07.2026, a link will once again be made available to allow for the correction of any incorrect entries in the online application form—excluding the candidate's name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. Through the provided link, eligible candidates will be able to rectify errors in their online applications. If candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories modify their reservation category to Unreserved, Extremely Backward Class (Schedule-I), Backward Class (Schedule-II), or Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), then, under such circumstances, the said candidates shall be required to pay the differential amount of the examination fee applicable to the modified category. Information regarding the additional payment required following such modification will be provided separately. Applications will not be accepted if the differential amount is not paid after the modification has been made. No claim for the correction of any entry shall be considered valid after the amendment date, and the examination process regarding the applicant will be completed solely on the basis of the submitted application.
The dates for completing the various stages of the online application form are as follows :
a) For registration and entering information : From 01.06.2026 up to midnight on 30.06.2026.
b) For payment of the examination fee and uploading of photographs and signatures: Up to midnight on 03.07.2026.
c) From 05.07.2026 up to midnight on 10.07.2026, a link will be reopened to allow for the correction of any incorrect entries in the online application form with the exception of the candidate's name, date of birth, email ID, and mobile number. Through this link, eligible candidates will be able to rectify errors in their online applications. In cases where the examination fee was paid at a concessional rate, any claim for correction shall be limited to the extent of the examination fee amount originally paid.
