Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board, Gandhinagar invites online application forms from candidates through the ojas website to prepare a selection list for filling up a total of 266 posts of Junior Pharmacist, Class-3 cadre under the control of the Health and Family Welfare Department through direct recruitment through competitive examination under the control of the Additional Director, Medical Services, Gandhinagar.

Salary Scale :-
As per the department's Resolution No.: Expenditure-2002-57-Zh.1 dated 16/02/2006, 29/04/2010, 06/10/2011 and 20/10/2014, Resolution No.: Expenditure-2002-57-(Part-2)-Zh.1 dated 20/10/2015 and 18/01/2017 and finally Resolution No.: Expenditure-2002-57-(Part-4)-Zh.1 dated 18/10/2023, the appointment will be made at a fixed salary of Rs. 40,800/- (Rupees forty thousand eight hundred in figures) per month for the first five years and other benefits of the said resolution will be available. Subject to the terms and conditions mentioned in the Resolution No. CRR-11-2015-312911-G.1 dated 23/10/2015 of the General Administration Department and Resolution No. Kharch-2002-57-(Part-3)/Z.1 dated 28/03/2016 of the Finance Department and Resolution No. 18/01/2017, the appointed candidate will be eligible for regular appointment in the pay scale of Rs. 29,200/- to Rs. 92,300/- (Level-5) of the Seventh Pay Commission in the concerned office after five years of satisfactory services. However, this matter is subject to SLP No. 14124/2012 and SLP No. 14125/2012 filed in the Hon'ble Supreme Court.
Educational Qualification
(b) Possess (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy or degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India: or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; or
(ii) a Diploma in Pharmacy obtained from any of the Universities established or incorporated by or under the Central or a State Act in India; or any other educational institution recognized as such or declared as deemed to be a University under Section 3 of the University Grants Commission Act, 1956; and having about two years experience as a Junior Pharmacist in Government, Government Undertaking or Board or as a Dispenser in the hospital or in dispensaries or as a Pharmacist or Medical Representative of any of the pharmaceutical company established under the Companies Act, 2013;
(c) possess the basic knowledge of computer application as prescribed in the Gujarat Civil Services Classification (General) Rules,1967; and (d) possess adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi or both.
5. The candidate appointed by direct selection shall be required to get himself registered with the Gujarat State Pharmacy Council as per the Provisins of the Pharmacy Act, 1948 at the time of his appointment, if he is not so registered..
Nationality
The candidate should be a citizen of India or should have the nationality as per the provisions of Rule-7 of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967
Age Limit
The age of the candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years as on 25/06/2026;
The upper age limit may be relaxed in favour of the candidate who is already in the service of the Government of Gujarat as per the provisions of the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules, 1967.
Computer Knowledge
The candidate should have a certificate / mark sheet from any training institute stating that he has basic knowledge of computer as per the syllabus prescribed by the General Administration Department of the State Government vide Resolution No.:- CRR-10-2007-120320-G.P dated 13/08/2008 and dated 18/03/2016 or any diploma / degree or certificate course in computer knowledge from a government recognized university or institution or certificates stating that computer is a subject in the degree or diploma course or certificates stating that he has passed the standard-10 or standard-12 examination with computer as a subject. However, candidates who do not have such a certificate at this stage can also apply. However, such candidates will have to produce such certificate of passing the Basic Computer Knowledge Test before the Appointing Authority before getting the appointment, otherwise they will not be eligible for getting the appointment and the Appointing Authority will "cancel" the selection of the candidates in such cases.
Examination Fee :-
As per the provision in the letter dated 31/01/2024 of the General Administration Department, the standard of examination fee for all direct recruitment examinations conducted by the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board shall be as follows.

Non-Reserved Category : Rs..500/-
Reserved Category (All categories of women, SC/ST, SC/ST, OBC, Divyang and Ex-Servicemen candidates) : 400/-
The fees paid shall be refunded to those candidates who appear for the examination.
The candidates who appear for the examination shall be eligible for refund of the examination fee.
All the candidates have to fill the online application form as mentioned above.
General Instructions
Once the application form is confirmed, the details regarding the caste (category) that the candidate has indicated while filling the details in the online application form will not be considered. Therefore, if the candidate wants to change any details in the application form, they should re-apply with the correct details before the last date of application and get the Confirmation Number from the Confirmation Number menu.
1.The details filled by the candidate in the application form will be considered final for the entire recruitment process and its proofs will have to be submitted in original at the time of verification of certificates. Otherwise, the application form will be considered “cancelled” at that stage.
2.The candidate should keep more than one copy of the passport size photograph of the photo uploaded in the application form and should use the copy of the same photograph throughout the recruitment process of this advertisement-cadre. (Like putting it in the attendance sheet at the time of examination and also submitting a copy of the same photograph at the time of verification of original certificates.)
3.The candidate should keep the mobile number indicated at the time of filling the application form active. In future, some examination-related instructions related to this examination will be sent to the candidate by the board through SMS on the mobile number indicated in this number, so it is in your interest to maintain the mobile number indicated in the application form until the recruitment process is completed.
Appointment
(1) The Board will recommend the candidates selected in this advertisement to the concerned department of the Government for appointment.
(2) The candidates will be considered for appointment keeping in mind the Merit Number. Passing the competitive written test conducted by the Board does not entitle the candidate to appointment. At the time of appointment, the candidate will be appointed only if the appointing authority is satisfied that the candidate is suitable in all respects.
(3) The selected candidate will be eligible for appointment subject to such conditions as the appointing authority may decide.
(4) The appointed candidate will have to undergo training as per the Government rules and pass the training examination.
(5) As all the proceedings regarding appointment are being carried out by the Government, no correspondence in this regard will be entertained by the Board.
Important Instructions:-
(1) The details mentioned by the candidate regarding the caste (category) while filling the details in the online application form will not be considered after the application form is confirmed. The responsibility of submitting the supporting documents/evidence in this regard within the time limit of the verification of certificates shall be with the concerned candidate. The Board has no duty in this regard and submissions in this regard after the time limit will not be considered.
(4) The candidate shall keep more than one copy of the passport size photograph of the photograph uploaded in the application form and shall use the copy of the same photograph throughout the recruitment process of this advertisement-cadre. (Like putting it in the attendance sheet at the time of examination and also submitting a copy of the same photograph at the time of verification of original certificates.) The candidate must have taken such photograph recently, so that there is no difficulty in establishing identity at various stages of recruitment/appointment.
(5) The candidate shall keep the mobile number and e-mail ID indicated at the time of filling the application form. In future, some examination-related instructions related to this examination from the Board will be sent to the candidate through SMS on the mobile number indicated. Therefore, it is in the candidate's best interest to retain the mobile number mentioned in the application form until the recruitment process is completed.
(6) The Board shall not permit any candidate who (1) attempts to obtain support for his candidature in any way, i.e., attempts to directly or indirectly impute to the Chairman, Member or any officer of the Board, (2) assumes the name of another, (3) causes another to assume his name, (4) submits forged or tampered documents or commits any irregularity, (5) makes statements which are true or false or conceals material information, (6) engages in any other irregularity in connection with his candidature for the examination, or resorts to improper means, (7) uses improper means during the examination, i.e., copies from the answer book of another candidate, copies with the help of a book, guide, slip or any other printed or handwritten material, or copies by conversation, or commits any of the following irregularities: (8) uses obscene language or obscene matter in writings (9) For writing irrelevant matter (10) For any other misconduct in the examination hall (11) For directly or indirectly harassing or causing bodily harm to the staff employed by the Board for the conduct of the examination (12) For attempting to do or, as the case may be, aiding and abetting all or any of the acts specified in the preceding clauses or (13) For contravening any of the instructions given in his admit card permitting him to appear for the examination, he shall, in addition to being liable to criminal proceedings, be- (a) disqualified by the Board from the examination for which he is a candidate, or (b)(1) excluded by the Board from appearing in any examination for direct selection or (b)(2) excluded by the State Government from any service under it either permanently or for a specified period. (13) If a candidate has ever been disqualified by the Gujarat Public Service Commission, other recruitment boards, other government/semi-government/government-owned institutions and the period of disqualification is ongoing, the application of such candidates will be automatically liable to be cancelled.
(7) If any of the details given by the candidate in the application form and the certificates submitted at the time of verification of original certificates regarding date of birth, educational qualification, age, caste, experience etc. are found to be false at any stage in the future, appropriate legal action will be taken against him. The candidature of such a candidate may be 'cancelled' by the Board and he will also be disqualified for recruitment to other categories. Also, if selection/appointment has been made, the selection/appointment may be 'cancelled' by the Board/appointing authority at any stage.
(8) A candidate shall not be entitled to claim appointment to the relevant post merely because he has passed the examination, if the appointing authority is satisfied that the candidate is not suitable for public service, he may be dropped. Their decision regarding appointment shall be final.
(9) The recruitment process shall be entirely subject to the Gujarat Civil Services Classification and Recruitment (General) Rules-1967 (as amended from time to time) and the recruitment rules framed for that cadre thereunder.
(10) The Gujarat Government has implemented the Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023 with effect from March 2023, to deal with irregularities in public examinations and leakage of question papers. The Government has also included the Gujarat Subordinate Services Selection Board as the 'Examination Authority' in the said Act. Hence, since all competitive written examinations conducted by the Board are to be treated as public examinations, the said Act is also applicable to the examinations of the Board. Therefore, the candidate who has won the competitive examination of all the above advertisements will be found to be violating the provisions of the Gujarat Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2023 and if found guilty, legal action will be taken against him as per the said Act.
