Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF- 02) to work on the Department of Biotechnology (GOI) funded research project entitled “Catalytic transformation of lactose and enzymatic production of high-value biomolecules”. This project is in collaboration with BRIC-National Agri-Food and Biomanufacturing Institute, Mohali, Punjab. These positions will be based at Gujarat Biotechnology University (GBU). The post is purely temporary and co-terminates with project.

Project title : Catalytic transformation of lactose and enzymatic production of high-value biomolecules
Minimum Qualifications : M. Sc. in any branch of biological sciences from any reputed university with NET / GATE qualified. Candidate with DBT- category – I and II are eligible as per funding agency rules.
Desirable experience / knowledge : Molecular cloning, Recombinant protein production, Protein purification, Enzyme kinetics, Microbial culture, Fermentation, Protein structure analysis, molecular dynamics, docking, Site directed mutation, etc.
Age Limit : Up to 28 years on closing date of advertisement
Fellowship Duration : Initial appointment for 1 year which will be extendable till the duration of this project based on satisfactory progress of the candidate.
Emolument : 37000/- + 27 % HRA
