CCRS requires Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Life Sciences and Bioinformatics research personnel

Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS) under Ministry of Ayush is an apex body for conducting research in Siddha system of medicine and provides health care facilities through its 9 peripheral institutes / units and 5 co-located units of CCRS. The Council is engaged in multifaceted research activities. In the area of clinical research, pre-clinical Pharmacological / Toxicological studies, Open label trials, multi-centric Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) are being conducted for acute and chronic diseases. The main emphasis is on diseases of national health priority with a view to develop safe and effective Siddha treatments.

The Central Council for Research in Siddha (CCRS), Chennai, an Autonomous Body under the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India proposes to engage the services of personnel on contractual basis, as per the details given below. The engagement will be purely on a contractual basis, initially for a period of one year. The selection will be made based on the Personal Interview and the date of interview will be intimated later through e-mail to eligible candidates and through the Council website. If necessary, a written test will be held on the same day, to shortlist the candidates. The decision of the Competent Authority will be final in the selection process. The number of posts may vary according to need and place of posting.

Research Associate (Chemistry) – 01 No.
Qualifications Essential: a) M.Sc. in Chemistry.
b) Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in Chemistry from a recognized University/ Institution.
Desirable : a) Experience in the field of synthesis and characterisation of nano materials by modern sophisticated analytical tools.
b) Previous experience in any Research project funded by the Ministry of Ayush or equivalent organizations.
c) Publication either as primary or corresponding author in Indexed /Peer reviewed Journals.
d) Working knowledge of Computer Applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Research Associate (Biochemistry) – 01 No.
Qualifications Essential :
a) M.Sc. in Biochemistry.
b) Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in Biochemistry from a recognized University/ Institution. Desirable: a) Experience in NABL-accredited medical laboratories and Knowledge of ISO 15189:2022 documentation and quality management systems; Training in Internal Audit, IQC/EQAS, uncertainty measurement or method validation. b) Experience in handling clinical trial samples under GCP/GLP environment and Hands on experience in automated biochemistry analysers, immunoassay systems and laboratory information systems
c) Working knowledge of biomedical waste management and laboratory biosafety.
d) Previous experience in any Research project funded by the Ministry of Ayush or equivalent organizations.
e) Publication either as primary or corresponding author in Indexed /Peer reviewed Journals.
f) Working knowledge of Computer Applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Qualifications Essential : a) M.Sc. in Bioinformatics.
b) Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in Bioinformatics from a recognized University/ Institution.
Desirable :
a) Experience in traditional medicine drug discovery research; handling natural products databases; phytochemical databases.
b) Experience in software such as :
• AutoDock/AutoDock Vina;
• Discovery Studio;
• GROMACS.
c) Knowledge of AI-assisted drug discovery approaches.
d) Previous experience in any Research project funded by the Ministry of Ayush or equivalent organizations.
e) Publication either as primary or corresponding author in Indexed /Peer reviewed Journals.
f) Working knowledge of Computer Applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

b) Previous experience in cultivation, conservation and preservation of medicinal plants; maintenance of herbarium and digitization techniques.
c) Previous experience in any Research project funded by the Ministry of Ayush or equivalent organizations.
d) Publication either as primary or corresponding author in Indexed /Peer reviewed Journals.
e) Working knowledge of Computer Applications such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point.

Qualifications Essential: a) Post graduate degree in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry from a recognized University/ Institution.
b) Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in Life Sciences / Biotechnology / Biochemistry from a recognized University/ Institution.
Desirable : a) Previous Research Experience in Green Nano-synthesis & Bioinformatics.
b) Sound knowledge in clinical investigations, Hands on experience in handling various automated analysers, CLIA analyser, etc.,
c) Previous experience in any Research project funded by the Ministry of Ayush or equivalent organizations.
d) Publication either as primary or corresponding author in Indexed /Peer reviewed Journals.
