Biotechnology or Life Sciences Fellowship at Gujarat Biotechnology University

Applications are invited for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) to work under the research project entitled “Harnessing biofilm EPS as bioremediation adjuvants to rejuvenate petrochemical contaminated water” funded by Department of Atomic Energy, Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (Govt. of India), at Gujarat Biotechnology University- Gandhinagar. The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Eligibility Essential Qualification :
• M.Tech / M.Sc (Biotechnology or relevant life sciences discipline) with minimum of 55% marks.

Desirable# :
• Candidates with prior research experience in bacterial biofilms, pollutant profiling from environmental samples, HPLC, LC-MS, metagenomics, marine pollution, and bioprocess engineering.
• Candidates must have proficiency in scientific writing, data analysis, and lab management.
• Candidates who have qualified CSIR-UGC-NET-JRF- LS/DBT-JRF/ICMR-JRF/GATE will be given preference

Age Limit : Up to 28 years on the closing date of the advertisement
Project Duration : 3 Years
Fellowship Duration : Initially for 1 year (extended to next year, subject to satisfactory performance)

Fellowship : Rs. 37,000/- per month (As per DAE norms)*

#This project is in collaboration with Dr. Sudhir Shukla (BARCF, IGCAR-Kalpakkam). The JRF will need to visit IGCAR-Kalpakkam multiple times a year, potentially for extended periods (of 3 to 6 months), to successfully complete the project objectives.
