For Backward Class Candidates: As per the provisions of Maharashtra Government General Administration Department Government Decision No. SRV-2015/PR.No. 404/Karya-12/Dated 25th April 2016, not less than 18 years and not more than 43 years. However, this relaxation will not be applicable to candidates belonging to the social categories of SC, ST, SC/ST, ST, ST, ST, ST and Economically Weaker Sections (EDWS), Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) who fall into the advanced and advanced groups (Creamy Layer).
For Graduate Part-time Candidates: Under the scheme of Financial Assistance to Educated Unemployed, the maximum age limit for graduate/graduate part-time candidates who have worked in a government office for three years on monthly honorarium and have registered these three years of experience in the Employment Guidance Center will be 55 years as per the provisions of Government Decision No. Ashanka-1918/Pr.Kr.507/16-A, Government of Maharashtra, General Administration Department, Government Decision No. Ashanka-1918/Pr.Kr.507/16-A, 2 January 2019.
Children of freedom fighters, Census employees of 1991 and Election employees after 1994 : As per the instructions given in Government of Maharashtra General Administration Department, Government Decision No. NIVAC 1010/PRK-08/2010/16-A, dated 06/10/2010, the maximum age limit will be 45 years. The maximum age limit for Backward Class candidates in this category will also be 45 years.
For Sports Candidates : School Education and Sports Department, Government Decision No. Ra.Kr.Dho-2002/Pr.Kr.68/Kr.Cr.S-2/Dated 01/07/2016 and the provisions of the Government Decision issued by the Government from time to time, considering the quality and qualification of the sportspersons, the age condition will be relaxed by up to 5 years in the prescribed age limit for the said post. However, the maximum age limit will be 43 years. The maximum age limit for the Backward Class employees in the said category will also be 43 years.
For Divyang Candidates : Maharashtra Government General Administration Department Government Decision No. Government Decision Divyang 2018/Pr.Kr.114/16A, Dated 29/05/2019, the maximum age limit will be 45 years.
For Project Affected Earthquake Affected Candidates : And General Administration Department Government Decision No. P-1006/Mus-396/Pr. As per the provisions of No. 56/06/16-A, dated 03/02/2007, the maximum age limit will be 45 years. Since the said age limit has been relaxed in general, the maximum age limit for backward class project affected and earthquake affected candidates will also be 45 years.
For Ex-Servicemen Candidates : As per the provisions of Government of Maharashtra, General Administration Department Government Decision No. MASAI-1010/PR.KR.279/10/16-A, dated 20/08/2010, the relaxation in the prescribed age limit for Ex-Servicemen candidates will be equal to the period of service in the Armed Forces plus 3 years, and the maximum age limit for disabled Ex-Servicemen will be 45 years.
Orphan : Age limit - not less than 18 years and not more than 43 years.

The facility for filling online applications related to the Direct Service recruitment process will be made available on the official website of Medical Education, Research and AYUSH med-edu.in from Thursday, 19.06.2025 under the heading Competitive Examination-2025. Candidates should read the entire advertisement carefully and submit their applications only online. Only the application filled online and the examination fee paid online will be considered. Applications/examination fees submitted in any other way will not be considered.
Procedure, Terms and Conditions of Direct Service Recruitment Process:-
1. For the present recruitment process, only the application filled online through the mentioned official website and the examination fee paid online will be considered. Applications / examination fees submitted in any other way will not be considered. The applications of the candidates who have submitted the application and fee in the prescribed manner, within the deadline i.e. on 09.07.2025 till 23.55 hrs will be considered for the online computer based examination. After the prescribed deadline, the link for submission of application and fee will be closed.
2. Candidates should carefully review the detailed advertisement published before submitting the online application fee and ensure whether they are eligible for the post for which they are applying. Only then should the application and examination fee be paid. The said examination fee will be non-refundable and will not be returned to the candidate for any reason. While paying the online fee, the candidate will have to pay the fees/charges of the concerned bank as per the rules in addition to the examination fee. Backward Class candidates applying from open category will have to pay the examination fee of Rs. 1000/- fixed for open category. Also, the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH will not be responsible for any technical difficulties encountered while paying the online fee.
3. It will be the sole responsibility of the candidate to prove the educational qualification, age, domicile, caste, not belonging to the advanced progressive group, women's reservation, sports prowess, project affected, earthquake affected, ex-serviceman, orphan, disabled and other matters mentioned by the candidates in the online application. If the candidate fails to prove any of the matters mentioned in the online application that are applicable to the concerned candidate, the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH reserves the right to cancel the selection of such candidate at any stage of the recruitment process/government service.
4. If the email ID or mobile number provided by the candidates in the online application is incorrect/incomplete, or if the mobile number is NCPR registered (DND), the instructions/messages/information sent to the candidates through email/SMS during the entire recruitment process is not received by the candidates, the entire responsibility of the candidate will remain with the candidate. Also, the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH will not be responsible for any technical problems encountered in the transmission of emails and mobile messages.
5. Online applications should be submitted only after carefully reviewing all the instructions regarding the direct service recruitment process for the above mentioned posts. Since the applications of the candidates will be accepted only through online mode, it is necessary for the candidates to fill in the information carefully, truthfully and accurately as per their eligibility. If any mistakes are made while filling the application online or if their application/selection is rejected at any stage of the recruitment process/government service due to any error, the entire responsibility of the candidate will remain with the candidate. The information provided in the online application cannot be changed at any stage of the recruitment process/government service and the candidate cannot complain about it.
6. The Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH reserves the right to debar or disqualify candidates from the entire recruitment process or from all future recruitment processes, and to terminate their government service at any stage, if they violate the above advertisement of the Department of Medical Education and Research, instructions circulated through various media, terms and conditions, or commit any misconduct in connection with the recruitment process, violate the rules, or impersonate them.
7. If it is found at any stage of the recruitment process that the candidate has knowingly or intentionally submitted incorrect/false/inadvertent information or submitted incorrect documents/certificates or has concealed the true information/has obtained appointment through improper means, the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH reserves the right to cancel the selection/government service of the concerned candidate. Also, if the candidate tries to interfere directly or indirectly in the recruitment process/try to exert political pressure during the recruitment process, such candidates will be eligible to be disqualified for the recruitment process. Also, they will be eligible for penalty as per the rules
8. The opportunity for the written examination is being given to the candidate as per the qualification/information mentioned by him in the online application. The candidate will not have any right to selection on the basis of the marks obtained in the examination. All the original documents of the candidates included in the selection list will be thoroughly scrutinized in accordance with the said direct service recruitment process. The Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH reserves the right to disqualify/cancel selection/cancel appointment of candidates who do not submit the required documents as per the terms and conditions of the direct service recruitment process/as per the information mentioned in the online application at any stage of the recruitment process/government service.
9. is mandatory for the candidates to submit their educational qualifications, documents related to social and parallel reservation and all the original documents required as per the terms and conditions mentioned in this advertisement at the time of verification. Receipts/receipts submitted by the candidate for obtaining any kind of certificate will not be considered. After scrutiny, if any discrepancy is found between the information submitted by the candidate in the online application and the documents submitted in person/if the information is found to be false, the concerned candidate will be disqualified for selection.
10. If any discrepancy/inconsistency is found between the information mentioned by the candidate in the online application and the actual information/documents submitted during the verification of documents/if it is found to be false/forged, the candidate will be disqualified at any stage of the recruitment process/government service. Also, all other concessions such as social or parallel reservation demanded by the candidate will be rejected. The candidate will not be able to claim any claim/right in this regard.
11. The documents of the candidates who will be included in the selection list under parallel reservation will be verified by the competent authority of the concerned government department regarding parallel reservation. The final decision regarding the selection will be taken only against the candidates who are qualified in the said verification.
12. If there is any objection/representation regarding the said advertisement, a written statement in this regard along with the necessary documents/evidence should be submitted within 08 days from the date of publication of this advertisement to the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH, 4th Floor, Government Dental College and Hospital, Mumbai St. George's Hospital, Ward, P.D. Mello Road, Fort, Mumbai 400 001. Objections/representations received after the specified time will not be considered.
13. Candidates who are found ineligible for the said recruitment process will not be informed separately.
14. To complete various procedures related to the recruitment process at the examination center, the applicant must be present at the examination center at least 1.00 hours before the scheduled time of the examination.
15. To appear for the examination, only a valid admit card issued by the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH will be accepted, so it is mandatory for the candidate to carry a copy of the admit card at the time of the online examination.
16. Candidates should mention the names of three examination centres in the order of preference in the online application. Accordingly, a decision will be taken to provide one examination centre out of the three examination centres registered by the candidate. However, if the minimum number of candidates required for the examination centre mentioned in the online application is not registered or if the examination cannot be conducted at the said examination centre due to any other administrative or other reason, the said candidates will be shifted to any other examination centre as per the availability. The decision of the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH regarding which examination centre to give to the candidate and regarding changing/increasing or reducing any centre shall be final. The candidate will also be shifted to another examination centre due to the registration of more candidates than the capacity at the centre selected by the candidate. The request made by the candidate to chage the examination centre/venue/date/session of the examination will not be entertained. The address of the examination centre, date, time and other details will be mentioned on the admit card for the online examination. The candidate shall appear for the online examination at his own cost and risk. The Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH shall not be liable for any injury or damage.
17. It is mandatory for the candidate to carry one of the following original identity cards and a photocopy thereof along with the admit card issued by the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH at the time of the online examination. The candidate shall be solely responsible for establishing his/her identity during the online examination. If the candidate is unable to establish his/her identity and if there is any doubt about the candidate's identity, the candidate will not be allowed to appear for the examination.

All the notices regarding the recruitment process, schedule, changes in schedule etc. will be published from time to time on the website of the office med-edu.in. No separate correspondence will be entered into with the candidates regarding the said recruitment process, and the candidates should take care to take note of the notices published on the said website from time to time and act accordingly. In case of any discrepancy or discrepancy between the advertisement published in any newspaper and the advertisement published on the website of the office, the advertisement on the website of the office will be considered as official.
The Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH reserves all rights to suspend or cancel the said recruitment process/examination, make partial changes in it, increase or decrease the total number of posts cadre-wise, make cadre-wise/post-wise changes in social reservation, change the terms and conditions in the advertisement of the direct service recruitment process / add new terms and conditions / cancel the terms and conditions and their decision shall be final. Also, the Commissioner, Medical Education, Research and AYUSH shall have the right to take the final decision on disputes and complaints regarding the recruitment process. Candidates will not be able to claim any right/claim in this regard.
