Application from Indian nationals are invited for one temporary position of Young Professional-II under the project entitled “Rainbow Diet Campaign for Odisha: Development and Scaling of Customised Rainbow Diet Food Matrices for Combating Malnutrition among Children in Keonjhar District” in the School of Biological Sciences, NISER Bhubaneswar funded by ICAR-CTCRI.
Essential Qualification : Postgraduate degree in any Biological Sciences / Agriculture Science / Allied Sciences from a recognized institute.
Desirable : Experience in laboratory animal handling, cell culture, tissue histochemistry, microscopic evaluation is required, National level examination (such as NET/SLET) qualification.
Fellowship : Rs. 42,000/ month (Consolidated)
Age : Minimum 21 years and maximum of 45 years as on last of receiving application. Age relaxation in the case of SC/ST and OBC as per Govt. of India norms.
Job Description : Mice handling and food administration, laboratory work on cell culture, sensory evaluation, tissue histochemistry, immunofluorescence analysis, microscopic evaluation etc.
Place of posting : NISER Bhubaneswar
The above position is purely temporary for a period upto 27th of July 2025 (which may be extendable until the completion of the project, solely based on performance and availability of the fund) or completion of project whichever is earlier and strictly co-terminus with the project and not leading to any PhD degree in NISER. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit, or explicit for consideration/ absorption against any NISER post.
Terms and conditions
• Only the scrutinised candidates called for interview should bring original certificates proving age and educational qualification, one set of self-attested photocopies of degree certificates, experience certificate if applicable and the latest photograph along with filled in application (Proforma enclosed) at the time of Interview. No objection certificate from the employer in case he/she is employed elsewhere.
• The decision of the interview committee will be final and binding in all aspects.
• Those who do not have the proof of educational qualification will not be allowed to attend the test/ interview.
• No travelling or other allowance is admissible for attending the interview or joining the position.
• If any candidate is found to have submitted false claims at later stage, their candidature will be summarily rejected.
