Position summary: 
The role entails monitoring and predicting trends and key issues in the Life Sciences and Healthcare sector in India and converting the knowledge into impactful research and analysis deliverables (thought leadership, market insights and account insights) that create potential business opportunities for EY. The individual will be required to support EY sector leadership and/or account teams on a pro-active basis and in response to specific requests. The responsibilities will also include managing few team members, overseeing project delivery including peer review and building relationships with key stakeholder groups

Responsibilities:  
Research and analysis    

1) Predictive analysis: Un-packs events into key drivers and causes to develop multiple hypotheses and investigate alternatives and recommend solutions. Draws together information from primary and secondary sources to prove or disprove hypotheses.   
2) Leveraging relevant information sources: Use analytical tools and techniques, specifically those relevant to the domain community, and deftly uses them to address analytical issues. Demonstrate expertise in information sources relevant to the domain    
3) Linking EY service offerings: Understand and link EY solutions to current and expected trends and issues in the domain and the assigned accounts (if applicable), and thereby identify business opportunities for the firm    
4) Sharing best practices: Develop best practices around sector and account analysis, and share them with peers and colleagues    
5) Elicitation: Collect and analyze information from internal and external subject matter experts through various techniques - face-to-face interviews, telephonic interviews, electronic surveys, etc.

People Management     
Peer review: Review colleagues’ deliverables and advise on research, synthesis and key findings    
Training: Participate in the training and development of colleagues to develop their understanding of the domain

Stake-holder management     
EY network: Build and maintain relationships EY India practioner(s) (including Partners, directors, senior managers)    
Industry network: Maintain regular contact with subject matter specialists, both within and outside of EY

Technical skills requirements     
* Relevant tertiary education (e.g., Medicine, Pharmacy, Healthcare MBA, Hospital management etc) or equivalent work experience    
* Master’s degree or postgraduate qualification    
* 5+ years in corporate environment    
* Detailed knowledge and proven track record in Life Sciences and Healthcare sector broadly.    
* Deep understanding of the Indian Healthcare markets including subsectors such as hospitals, medical devices, path labs, Contract Research Organizations etc.    
* Experience of primary research with senior executives in the industry and in the healthcare environment (interviewing patients, doctors, nurses and hospital staff to gather insights for reports)    
* Knowledge and experience within a professional services environment an advantage    
* Excellent spoken and written communication skills, as well as presentation skills    
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills, including financial analysis skills    
* Good project and time management skills with the ability to complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines    
* Expert in information sources relevant to the domain    
* Advanced skills in Microsoft Office    
* Passionate about research and analysis, and its practical application in the corporate environment    
* Good executive presence and proven ability to build strong working relationships with senior partners of EY   
 * Excellent team player; comfortable working in a virtual environment; ability to peer review work and mentor colleagues    
* Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision, and produce timely deliverables in a fast-paced environment    
* Self-motivated, with strong work ethic and initiative; proactive in identifying issues and opportunities and delivering insightful solutions    
* Holds high level of attention to detail
