One (01) position of Project Associate-II for the ANRF sponsored project entitled “Investigating the mechanistic role of epigenetic switch ULTRAPETALA in regulating developmental pathways in indica rice variety impact on growth and crop yield” under the supervision of Prof. Shubho Chaudhuri (Principal Investigator), Department of Biological Sciences. The project is tenable upto 08-June-2029 and the position is coterminous with the project. Appointment will be initially for one year and may be extended based on the satisfactory work progress and availability of the fund in the project.
Post : Project Associate-II : One (01) position
Qualification : Four years Bachelor’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences/ Master’s Degree in Natural or Agricultural Sciences / BVSc/B.Pharm or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology or Medicine from a recognized University or equivalent and two years experience in R&D in industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organizations and Scientific activities and services
Desirable qualification : Familiar with recombinant DNA technology, protein expression and purification, handling plant samples, transcriptomics.
Master’s degree in Biochemistry, Biotechnology & Botany
Upper Age : 35 years (relaxable in case of SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates only, as per govt. rule
Monthly emoluments : (i) Rs. 42,000/- + HRA to scholars who are selected through (a) National Eligibility Tests – CSIR-UGC NET including Lectureship (Assistant Professorship) or GATE or (b) A selection process through National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments and their Agencies and Institutions.
(ii) Rs.33,000/- + HRA for others who do not fall under (i) above.
