Institute of Nano Science and Technology (INST), Mohali (Punjab), an autonomous institution of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, has been established under the umbrella of NANO MISSION, initiated by DST to boost research and development in the field of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology in India. INST started its activities on 3rd January 2013 from its transit campus at Mohali, Punjab.

Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Research Associate-I (RA-I) in the research project funded by ‘DBT’, Government of India at Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project : “Lignin Valorization via biomaterial development, depolymerization and green technology”.
Principal Investigator : Prof. Deepa Ghosh, Scientist-G
Qualifications : Essential Qualifications : A Ph.D. degree in relevant field such as pharmacy / life / chemical science or its equivalent, with published research papers in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journals.
Desirable Experience : A strong academic record is required and candidates with strong interdisciplinary research experience would be preferred.
Employment : The applicants who are employed at the time of application (in any form i.e. permanent, contractual etc.) are eligible to apply. However, they have to relinquish their employment for accepting the fellowship.
Age limit : The upper age limit is 40 years for male candidates and 45 years in the case of female candidates as on 15.08.2025. Fellowship : Rs. 58000/- + 16% HRA
Mode of Interview : Online Mode
Duration : Initially one year and may be extended based on performance of the candidate and availability of funds.

• The position is purely temporary and on contractual basis and renewable each year subject to satisfactory performance and availability of the funds till the completion of the project. The position is co-terminus with the project.
