Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the post of Project Associates (level I and II) and Laboratory Assistant/Technician/Technical Assistant/Field Assistant under the project entitled “Design Development and Validation of Traditional medicines used by Baigas of Chhattisgarh for the effective management of SCD in Central India” funded by DST, Government of India under DST-PURSE scheme. This post is purely temporary and coterminous with the project.
Project Associates (level I) (03 positions)
Eligibility : Essential qualifications: Master degree in Natural Science (Biological Sciences / Physical Sciences) or or in Pharmacy from a recognized University or equivalent with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
Desirable qualifications : NET-JRF/LS/GATE/GPAT/equivalent national level exams qualified candidates shall be preferred.
Project Associates (level II) (02 positions)
Essential qualifications : (i) Master degree in Natural Science (Biological sciences /Physical Sciences) or in Pharmacy from a recognized University or equivalent with minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade
(ii) 2 years’ experience in R&D in industrial and Academic Institutions or Science & Technology organizations and Scientific activities and services
Desirable qualifications :
• NET-JRF/LS/GATE/GPAT/equivalent national level exams qualified candidates shall be preferred
Candidates having experience of handling sophisticated instruments (plant sample extraction, NMR, spectroscopic, morphology, DNA sequencer etc. ) may be preferred.
• Candidates with laboratory experience in handling molecular biology techniques, basic microbial methods, enzymatic and other allied analytical methods, proficiency in scientific writing, basic bioinformatics tools may have advantage.
Duration of project/ Fellowship : 04 years (co-terminus with project)
Fellowship : (i) For NET-JRF/LS/GATE/GPAT/ equivalent national level exams qualified candidates : (Rs. 31,000 p.m. + HRA) for Project Associate-level I (Rs. 35,000 p.m. + HRA) for Project Associate-level II
(ii) For others (Non-NET/GATE/GPAT/Equivalent exam qualified candidates) : (Rs. 25,000 p.m. + HRA) for Project Associate-level I (Rs. 28,000 p.m. + HRA) for Project Associate-level II
Age Limit : Upto 35 years (upper age) as on the last date of application and as per DST guidelines. Upper age limit may be relaxed up to 5 years in the case of candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ Women/ Differently able candidates

Note
• Only shortlisted candidates will be informed by email and will be called for the interview.
• If the number of shortlisted candidates called for the interview is large, the selection committee may decide to restrict the number of candidates for the interview to a reasonable limit after considering qualifications and experience over and above the minimum prescribed in the advertisement.
• The decision of the selection committee will be final.
• The selected candidate will have to join duty immediately on receipt of the offer.
• The candidate selected for the Project Associates position will have option to register for PhD program as per GGV guidelines.
• The candidate should have all required qualification as on the date of the joining, failing which the candidature will not be considered. The candidature will be subjected to verification of the certificates, degree, testimonials in original as part the essential qualification/ experience etc. in person for the aforesaid position at the time of joining, in case of selection.
• The above positions are purely temporary and will be filled on contract basis. The selected candidates shall have no right/claim for regular appointment at this Institute, as the engagement is co-terminus with the Project.
• The fellowship may be terminated with a 30-day notice before completion of the tenure, if performance till date is not deemed satisfactory.
• Canvassing the application in any other form, late submission, incomplete application form, incomplete attachments will not be considered for the screening/shortlisting and any further evaluation.
• Candidate, who is already working in any project / institution, should bring “No Objection Certificate” from his/ her present employer at the time of interview.
• Candidates must check their eligibility as per essential qualification before applying for the said post.
• No TA/DA will be paid to the candidate for attending the interview/ joining the post.
• University reserves the right not to fill the position, if it desires so. No interim correspondence will be entertained.
