Applications are invited for the position of Project Linked Persons for extramural projects to be executed by the National institute of Biomedical Genomics, Kalyani. Selected applicants will be appointed for the period of 1 year.
Project Name & Funding Authority : “Validation of Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) based diagnostics in Prognosticating Oral Squamous cell carcinoma : an approach to Personalized cancer Management under thematic area of Diagnostics group under ICRC” Funding Agency - ICMR
Project Description : The project aims to validate CTC-based diagnostics for improving the prognosis and management of oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC). This project, linked to personnel at the National Institute of Biomedical Genomics (NIBMG), is funded by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). The goal is to develop personalized cancer management strategies based on the detection and characterization of CTCs.
Online Interview is being organized for recruiting ONE (01) Project Research Scientist-II towards meeting the objectives of the project. NIBMG is looking for motivated and bright individuals interested in exploring career opportunities in this multi-organization national initiative, of which NIBMG has a lead role to perform.
Essential Educational Qualification : 1. Post Graduate Degree, including the integrated PG degrees, with three years post qualification Experience or PhD.
2. For Engineering/I T/CS- Graduate degree of Four Years with three years post qualification experience.
Desirable Qualification : Extensive hands-on experience in cell culture (human primary and cell lines), in vitro functional assays and related molecular and cell biology experimental work
Nature of Duty : Designing and conducting experiments, gathering, Organizing and summarizing data; writing manuscripts; presenting results at meetings, writing experimental protocols; preparing various reports; contributing to grant applications and progress reports; training new personnel
Consolidated and fixed monthly emolument : Rs. 67,000 p.m. +10 % HRA.
This position is contractual, and appointments will be initially for one year, which is extendable depending upon the performance and requirements of the project.
