Applications are invited for Internship at PGIMER

The PGIMER owes its inception to the vision of late Sardar Partap Singh Kairon, the then Chief Minister of Punjab and the distinguished medical educationists of the then combined state of Punjab, supported by the first Prime Minister of India Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who considered the institutions of scientific knowledge as temples of learning and the places of pilgrimage. 

Post : Student internship 

Applications (with CV) are hereby invited for an internship position in the DST-SERB funded project entitled “Exploration of the role of gut microbiome dysbiosis in post-transplant diarrhoea and its clinical impact on host immunity and graft outcomes in kidney and bone marrow transplant recipients” in the Medical Microbiology Department, PGIMER, Chandigarh, under Dr. Sapna Pahil as per the below given details.

Duration : 2 months

Essential qualifications : M,Sc. Microbiology / Biotechnology / Life Sciences with 60% marks from UGC UGC-recognized university/institute

Salary : 5,000 INR per month


Interested candidates can submit their CVs (along with attested copies of academic degrees and certificates) to room no. 228, 2nd floor, Research-Block-A, Department of Medical Microbiology by 31.07.2025 till 5 pm.

Only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. Candidates are advised to provide a clear email account/mobile number as the correspondence will be through email. PI will not be responsible for any communication not received due to incorrect email accounts. At the time of the interview, candidates should bring their original certificates for verification. No separate interview letters will be sent, and no TA/DA will be paid. Only in-person interviews will be conducted.
