Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation is committed to alleviating the physical, emotional, and financial burdens faced by cancer patients and their families, while also addressing the broader societal impact of this disease.

Applications are invited for the post of Project Assistant Under the Prime Minister’s Early Career Research Grant (PMECRG) funded by the Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), New Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. Akhileshwar Namani (Scientist & Principal Investigator) at Omics-To-Therapy (OTT) Group of the Department of Molecular Oncology, Sri Shankara Cancer Hospital and Research Centre (SSCHRC), Sri Shankara National Centre for Cancer Prevention and Research (SSNCCPR), A Unit of Sri Shankara Cancer Foundation (SSCF), Bengaluru.

Post : Project Assistant 

Monthly emoluments : Rs. 27,000/- + HRA 

Nature of post and duration : Temporary, initially, for 1 year likely to be extended for project duration (3 years).


Educational qualification : M.Sc. (any branch of Life Sciences) with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination OR M.Tech. (Biotechnology/Bioinformatics) with a minimum of 55% marks in the qualifying examination.

Desirable qualification : Experience in cell culture, molecular biology techniques, bioinformatics, proteomics, or drug screening will be considered an added advantage.

Selected candidates will have the Opportunity to register for a Ph.D. at Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) under the SSNCCPR-MAHE Ph.D program, subject to fulfilling the eligibility criteria of the university.
