Baba Farid University of Health Sciences was established under an Act passed by the Legislature of the State of Punjab in July, 1998. The mission of the University is to create an intellectual, academic and physical environment, conducive to free flow of ideas and exchange of information between various faculties of the University and between this University and other Universities of Health Sciences in the country and abroad,thereby opening a window to the world for the health professionals, health planners, health managers, biomedical and social scientists and educators in health sciences of the country.

Post : Research Scientist – II
Essential Qualifications :- Post Graduate degree (MD/MS/DNB) with five years R&D / teaching experience or Post graduate diploma in Medical subjects with six years R&D/teaching experience in the required subject from recognised University. OR MBBS recognized by MCI from any Institute recognized by MCI or equivalent degree from a recognized University with eight years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after MBBS degree. OR BDS/B.V.Sc & AH degree recognized by DCI/VCI with Nine Years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after BDS/B.V.Sc degree. OR First Class Master’s degree in relevant Life Science Subjects or Equivalent degree from a recognized University with eight years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after First class Master’s degree. OR Second class M.sc + Ph.D degree in the relevant subject or equivalent from a recognized University with eight years R&D/teaching experience in the relevant subject after M.Sc + Ph.D.
Desirable Qualifications : (i) Doctorate or M.Tech Degree in related Science or Engineering subject or M.D in the related subject from a recognised University for candidates with first class relevant degree.
(ii) Additional post Doctoral Research/ teaching experience in relevant subjects in recognized institute.
(iii) Knowledge of computer applications or business intelligence tools/ Data Management.
Notes : (i) MD / MS / MDS / Ph.D in the relevant subject shall be treated equivalent to three years experience respectively.
(ii) Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Subjects/ M.tech/ M.V.Sc. the relevant subject shall be treated equivalent to two years experience respectively.
Salary : Rs.67,000/- + HRA 8%

Application Fee : General Category- Rs. 1770 (Fee Rs. 1500 + GST Rs. 270 @ 18 %)
SC Category- Rs. 885 (Fee Rs. 750 + GST Rs. 135 @ 18 %) The fee will be collected on the spot at the venue of Interview
2) The tenure of the post initially for period of one year.
3) The age of the candidate should not exceed 40 years till the Last date of application. Relax able upto five years for Govt.Servants & SC/ST/OBC Candidates in accordance
