Job Description
This person will work with a team of network administrators and share the following roles and responsibilities:
• Monitor and maintain computer infrastructure, with emphasis on interactions between software and the network, network integrity and resilience, remote and on-site network hardware and software maintenance
• Implement security programs with hardware and software
• Interface with members of IT, the company at large and external IT service providers as problems warrant
• Execute workplace standards related to quality assurance Good Practice (GxP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sr. Specialist, IT, Infrastructure Services role is to support and sustain:
• 24x7 network infrastructure operations spanning multiple geographic locations and time zones worldwide
• Wide Area Network services - DMVPN and 3rd party service providers
• Wired and wireless Datacenter network and campus Local Area Networks
• Internet Access and Remote Access (VPN) services - maintain network edge firewall hardware and software
• Other infrastructure operations as required – for example, Voice Over IP, Microsoft Azure and VMware cloud services
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with:
• Communicating and providing positive experiences with diverse audiences – external partners, internal clients, and IT development teams
• Problem solving and resolving network infrastructure incidents as a principal contact
• Mentoring and assisting entry-level network specialists and other IT team members
• Working with outside service providers to deliver and sustain infrastructure solutions
• Creating and maintaining IT system lifecycle documents
• Cisco network hardware and software solutions
REQUIRED SKILLS:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Fluent in English language written and spoken
• ITIL Foundation certified
• Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent industry network certification
• Good understanding of current IT Infrastructure technologies and prior experience as an IT System Administrator – WAN, LAN, Internet and Remote Access (VPN)
• Five years of experience supporting Cisco internetworking hardware and software
• Five years of experience supporting computer infrastructure platforms and systems
• Two years supporting cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or VMware
• Use entry-level scripting to automate system management tasks. Ansible, Python, PowerShell or other equivalent development language.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems
• Cisco Certified Network Professional or equivalent industry network certification
• Experience supporting manufacturing and laboratories in a GxP environment
• Experience contributing to an operations team with members in multiple geographic locations and time zones worldwide
• Use mid-level scripting experience to automate system management tasks. Ansible, Python, PowerShell or other equivalent development language.
• Experience with cisco network management tools like Cisco Prime Infrastructure or DNA Center
• Understanding of Agile and DEV OPs methodologies and experience with using them in practice
• Comfortable communicating with diverse audiences – external partners, internal clients, and IT development teams
