The seed for the establishment and growth of TANUVAS was sown as early as 1876, when the Madras Veterinary College was started as an Agricultural School in Chennai to offer diploma and certificate course in the field of veterinary and animal sciences. The institute attained the status of a college in the year 1903 (01.10.1903), when it started functioning at Dobbin Hall, Chennai and admitted 20 students for a three-year diploma course called GMVC (Graduate of Madras Veterinary College).

A walk-in interview would be conducted for the following positions at the Project Monitoring Unit of the DBT funded project on Canine Research Centre and Networks, Directorate of Clinics, Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS, Vepery, Chennai – 600 007.

Title of Project : Project Monitoring Unit of the Canine Research Centre and Networks

Research Associate I
Salary (Consolidated) : Rs. 36,000 /- per month with 30% HRA (Rs. 46,800/-)
Qualifications : Candidates with Ph. D./ MD/ MS/ MDS degree (Awarded) (or) Equivalent degree (or) having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development after MVSc / M.Pharm/ ME/ M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal

Research Associate II
Salary (Consolidated) : Rs. 38,000 /- per month with 30% HRA (Rs. 49,400/-)
Qualifications : Candidates with Ph. D./ MD/ MS/ MDS degree (Awarded) (or) Equivalent degree (or) having 3 years of research, teaching and design and development after MVSc / M.Pharm/ ME/ M.Tech with at least one research paper in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) journal

The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

Instructions:
•  Candidates with the eligibility are requested to walk in to Directorate of Clinics, Madras Veterinary College, TANUVAS, Vepery, Chennai – 600 007 for the written test and interview on 17-07-2018 at 10.00 a.m. with original certificates in support of age, qualifications, Photo ID card and experience certificate if any
•  Working personnel are requested to attend the interview with No objection letter from the present employer.
•  No TA and DA will be provided for attending the interview.
•  The written exam would be for one-hour duration with multiple-choice questions.
•  The initial appointment will be for one year, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority.
