NIMHANS is conducting a Walk in Selection for filling up the post of “Project Associate I” on a contract basis for the “Exploration of Wnt7bmediated noncanonical pathway in establishing myogenic gene expression program” funded by ANRF, under Dr. Mathivanan Jothi, Additional Professor of Human Genetics & Principal Investigator, NIMHANS, Bengaluru - 560029.

Essential Qualification : Master of Science (M.Sc) with minimum 55% of total marks (equivalent grade) in Molecular biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biotechnology.
Desirable Qualification : NET or any national exam qualification is Preferable. Essential Experience: Molecular Biology techniques, Molecular cloning, Animal cell culture Desirable Experience: Preference will be given to the candidate have expertise with molecular cloning, animal cell culture, heterologous protein purification and molecular biology experiments along with basic bioinformatics analysis.
Emoluments / Salary : • Rs. 37,000 + 24% HRA for UGC/CSIR/DBT-JRF/NET or GATE holders.
• Rs. 30,000 +24% HRA for non JRF/NET holders,
Maximum Age Limit : 28 years
Duration of Project : 1 year
Duration of Post : Initial Appointment will be made for a period of 6 months and renewable till the end of the project based on performance of the candidate.
