Applications are invited for the Position of Project Assistant in DST-SERB funded research project

Name of the Project : Exploring the molecular insights and the role of mitochondrial changes during myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury and its recovery protocol in an experimental model of rat exposed to diesel particulate matter

Name of the sponsoring agency : Science and Engineering Research Board:Department of Science and Technology, New Delhi

Duration of the Project : Three years

Fellowship  :  As per the norms of DST-SERB

Essential Qualification : First class Master degree in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Physiology, Pharmacy and Zoology

Project Description : The project will explore the pathophysiology of myocardial ischemia reperfusion injury in rat exposed to PM2.5 from diesel exhaust.


Desirable : The applicant having documented experience from studies of myocardial ischemia and reperfusion in isolated heart models and/or in vivo models are preferred. Experience from laboratory methods including Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, enzyme assays and cell cultures are preferred.

The candidate is expected to register for Ph.D. for this project work. Shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a test and interview. The date of the test and interview will be notified by email only to the shortlisted candidates. No TA/DA will be paid for appearing in the interview. Online written test & interview will be conducted.
