The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) is an autonomous body of the Ministry of AYUSH (Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy), Government of India. It is an apex body in India for the formulation, coordination, development and promotion of research on scientific lines in Ayurveda and Sowa-Rigpa system of medicine.
It is proposed to engage, on contract basis, the services of Senior Research Fellow(Life science) initially for a period of six months to be posted to CCRAS Hqrs/ICMR New-Delhi. Their services may be curtailed or extended at the discretion of the Competent authority on need basis/performance of the individual on a monthly remuneration mentioned against the post. The interview will be held on the date indicated against the post.

Essential
M.Sc. (Botany) / Pharmacognosy / Agricultural Sciences / Biotechnology (Plants) Plus HRA / Bio-Chemistry with 2 years research experience prefrably in medicinal plants Or M.Pharma (Pharmacognosy) / Pharmaceutical Sciences. Or M.Tech (Biotechnology).
Desirable
1. Preference will be given to those who possess higher qualification or who have previous research experience i.e having worked for any research project funded by the Ministry of AYUSH,ICMR,CSIR,DST or equivalent organization.
2. Skills of drafting editiing of scientific documents/articles/technical reports etc. And working experience in managing research journals
3.Sound knowledge of ethno medicine and its applications and drug development.
4. Publication in peer reviewed journals
5. Working knowledge of computer applications.
Age : not exceeding 35 years as on date of interview.
Monthly remuneration : Rs.28000/- Plus HRA
Interested candidates fulfilling the essential qualification and age limit may apply in the prescribed proforma alongwith self attested copy of certificate in support of age and essential qualification and two passport size recent photographs. The candidates are required to appear for interview at the AYUSH Auditorium of the Council.
